It's a waste of time for certain. True words you've written.

We had a bad day with medical news so I'm a bit more hacked off than normal, so they got to me.

I'll pull it back together though...at least I know who the NJS-squad is now.

The only times this year that nico has beaten hamilton is when sometbing happened to hamilton (most often these were not his own fault but occasionally they were).

Aus: hamilton car failure in the lead. Given nico hasn't passed ham on track all season I think we can determine quite accurately who would've won this.

Moncaco: nico parks his car preventing lewis doing lap. Lewis quicker in second sector and his lap time up for s1 was up on previous. Thus likely to be on pole and for a track like Monaco that's most of the job done.

Canada: ham car failure in lead. As above, nico has never passed ham on track so that SHOUDLVE been the end of it.

Austria: hamilton qualifies 9th. His own fault. Manage to catch up but starting 9th wasn't enough.

Germany: Hamilton starts dead last rosberg on pole. Car failire in qualy

Belgium; rosberg rear ends his team mate. Hamilton was winning. Rosberg ruins his race.

Brazil: Hamilton spins out and loses over 7 sec. Costing him the win.

Rosberg only wins if hamiltons car let's him down or he makes a mistake. That led some among us, Notably Asj, to state that hamilton is the only driver to win a race all year on merit. He argues that rosberg and ricciardo only won because they capitalised on reliability or driver error. Interesting view.

Is it confirmed that double points are gone for 2015?

Races won by each driver this season...

    Hamilton 10
    Rosberg 5
    Ricciardo 3

Not sure how anyone could argue Rosberg deserves the championship over Hamilton, with Lewis having twice as many wins?

Where does anyone even say that?

Unless Rosberg wins it, then Hamilton deserves it.

If Rosberg wins it, then he deserves it.

    Same with any other driver.

    WTH?

Take out points and you are correct. Points win the WDC currently. Either are deserving. I could not really care if one or the other. I want good racing and we have seen that this year!

    Again???
So let me get that right...A guy that won every single practice session, every qualifying session, starting from pole, winning the start and leading start to finish did not win by his own merit because the second placed guy lost the car by trying to get past during the pit stops??? Seriously??? And you say you are logical and not biased???

I'd say it's because of Ham's DNF's being the game changer, and consequently it has put Nico in contention as Hamiltons main WDC challenger, whereas take out Ham DNF's and the real picture emerges, which has been the case, of late.

Having said that, respect to Nico for being no push over, and a very quick driver, afterall he is still in a position to take the WDC, that's of course if we take notice of the pathetic double points system.

Practice and qualy are completely irrelevant. I never said that was my opinion. I was simply reiterating the views held by the much revered and respected "Asj".

My personal view (not that anyone cares) is that hamilton had the underlying race pace to win every race this season. The only times he has not won are when he has made a mistake, or circumstances beyond his control ruined his chances for him. Either one of these factors is present in every race rosberg has placed higher than hamilton. But I believe any driver who wins does so on merit - they had to beat the other 21 drivers. So in that regard I disagree with Asj but nonetheless an interesting view.

The other day you were saying if someone won because of double points then it is not deserved. Unless you are referring to a rosberg win with double points removed from the equation.

I think the double points will not change anything: Rosbergs needs Hamilton to DNF as I doubt that a Mercedes will be anywhere else than on the first two places...In this case the double points change nothing.

    I beg to differ.

His constant pollution of just about every thread here got old long ago.
