Scott, No worries at all. I don't mind sharing. I sold my first 355 after I was laid off about 6 years ago. I had just had my first child, and wanted a little more of a financial cushion. I bought the white GTS 4 years ago the moment it presented on the market. I had to own a white one, and made it a reality. I put a ton of money into that car making it a strong example. After 4 great years of ownership, I decided to sell it. Frankly, it was a bit of an impulse fueled by a number of factors. Once it was gone, I hated not owning a Ferrari. I considered a 360, 550 and even a D90 and 993. I just kept coming back to the 355. When this car came on the market for 50k, I took one look at it and at the records and work which accompanied it, and acted quickly. I honestly never thought I'd get a yellow one, but now that I have it, I really like it. I was dead wrong about this color. I suspect I will keep it for awhile, but who knows... If a white 360 6spd comes on the market, I would likely give that a try.
I spoke with Luke today while he was driving his new car home - he is truly a 355 addict and someone who will always appreciate the elegance and power of the 355. Sincerely, congrats Luke I'm sure it's a gem.
That's a great idea! Brenden, we should do it. I agree. I will admit... I was wrong about GM. It really looks great on these cars. Thanks for the support guys. Honestly, this car is really tight. It is amazingly clean for a 31k mile car. Dare I say better than my other 2. It does however have some needs. The paint really looks great from 2ft away. Under closer inspection, it really needs a paint correction from a good Detailer. The gas release button doesn't work, and thankfully I knew about the release pull in the engine bay. The E brake knob isnt working perfectly and will need adjusting. Other than that, it's pretty damn great. Robb, I wish I took more pictures, but I didnt. The 2.5 hour drive home was uneventful and without good photo ops on 95 south. She safe at home now. I hope I can get a few more weeks of driving before the snow and salt comes. Robb my gas door wasn't working either, I cleaned the plunger up with some WD-40 and it now works fine. Not sure if its as simple as that..
It's Luke, but I suspect its something more. On my other cars, when I pushed the button, I could hear the accuator clicking. With this one, nothing happens when I push the button. Maybe it's a fuse, maybe it's something more. Either way, I'll get it fixed.
I do. I put the OEM Pirelli P Zero tires on my last car when I bought it as I planned on trying to get at platinum award. These tires are much better.
Well that looks great! I love the GW parkway in your neck of the woods. Hopefully you can get some time for a scenic run before the snow. 10" in Colorado and MN heading your way! Robb
congrats on your 3rd 355..Im on my third as well..Its funny how some people are scared to buy one when others have had a few..
Congratulations buddy. I only wish you had more time to enjoy her before you have to put her up for the winter. Henry
