Ok here is the latest... I posted this a week or so ago that my car was being air freighted a week or so ago on NOV 1 this was based on communications between my dealer and FNA .. Apparently it did not get shipped at that time and is coming to JKF today and from there straight to the dealer .. The interesting thing I found out is that when a car is Air freighted it goes straight to the dealer without going to FNA .. I also have come to realize that FNA and the dealer seem to lose track of the car .. It is expected that Horseless carriage will pick the car up (hopefully today) and then to the dealer FOW in the next 24 hours.. Now once again this is based on emails between the dealer and FNA.. it is interesting to me in that I have never had a car airfreighted in. The other interesting thing is I can order a $10 widget from Amazon and get tracking info right down to the hour I will receive the widget .. But order a $400K car and there is basically no tracking.. I am not in anyway complaining or whining just posting so others will know more. I am still thrilled to get my car eventually and happy with the process.
Ferrari is very modern and up-to-date, like quantum mechanics. There is no "delivery date." There is only a probability cloud.
I was at the dealer today and my car still shows 90, which of course is not probable. However the dealer feels i will still have the car on the 25th. They said that it goes from 90 to here, and no one knows anything. this is of course crazy, but will sit like a fruit fly until it comes
THe car arrived today at FOW... looks like Tuesday will be the big day... hope to have some cell pictures later today from the dealer.... looking forward to the 200 mile drive...
TODAY I PICKED UP MY F12 ... I left at 330 am from my house to drive 230 miles to FOW in my 2009 SCUD which was a nice drive nobody on the road a that time of day.. .. Of course it was 29 degrees out coldest day of the season.....got to the dealer when they opened and there she was in the detail bay waiting for me.. a couple of hours of paperwork and then I had a very nice drive home on a perfect sunny day.. got home around 4 pm or so.. THis is one VERY fast car and very comfortable to drive .. I installed a capristo remote valve operator on the exhaust prior to delivery which makes for a nice sounding idle.. or it can be quiet if you want.. I opted for the upgraded stereo on this car which was a vast improvement from previous standard stereos... THe controls all seem fairly easy to operate .. IN all I loved the drive.. the car came out exactly as expected .. I felt very good about my choices ..I will post pictures in the next day or so...
Congratulations. Glad to hear you enjoy the F12. Manny happy miles with it and looking forward to some pictures and more impressions as you rack up the miles.
Thanks , however I did not sell the Scud just took it up for service.. However the diference is remarkable they are completely different cars there no relaxing while driving the SCUd it is a car that demands the driver , drive it full time.probably with 2 hands on the wheel ... great car.. So in my opinion I have both ends of the spectrum covered . I do think the F12 is faster very much torque at low end, with massive acceleration.. pictures soon..
Thanks I thought it would be nice to have a start to finish thread ... from the day I ordered it till I received through my initial impressions.. kind of a reference guide for both me and others..
