Good evening Ferrari nerds, So I have a question. Say you have a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. Say you have a few opportunities to choose from. Would you keep it; trade it for an Enzo and a 365 GTB/4 Daytona; or trade it for a LaFerrari? Yours truly, MG-Homes
OP...Curious, why didn't you include F40 on your list? The last car signed off by Il il Commendatore...T
I would keep the Lusso, any pu**y can drive Laferrari with all these electronic nannies that make you look like a hero but never allowing you to become one.
Having worked 13 years for a major collector I've had the opportunity to extensively drive the cars. In my humble opinion if I was looking for a car to keep long term it would be the Lusso. It is unequivocally one of the best Ferraris of all time. It has all the desired traits of what makes a ferrari a ferrari. I also think the LaFerrari is stunning but it isn't a car I would ever think of owning long term due to all the electrical and computer systems. I Love the enzo and f40 as well but not more than the Lusso.
Driving a Lusso for thirty years as I did, it felt good to have a radio, A/C, and a car that didn't drive like a truck. I'm frankly through being a hero.
Keep the lusso. If you are fed up then get an Enzo. Would not go with LaF. Very unpersonal car imho. Too 'generic'
Which will bring you the most pleasure? In the field, I believe the Enzo would bring me personally my greatest enjoyment overall, showing, meets, tracking, occasional rallies. I expect most people who own these cars probably choose to limit the miles on them, so my perspective isn't terribly relevant as I've never had to choose between more than two and usually just one ferrari. So a car I would choose would need to check more boxes. I expect though for someone who has a few to choose from depending on the occasion, probably Lusso is the one to keep.
It all depends on how and where you want to use the car. I have personally owned 3 of the 4 cars you mentioned. They are all very different. How long do you intend to keep the "replacement". Personally buying a Ferrari right at the present time takes a lot of balls. Of course if you have unlimited funds its a different story.
i would keep the lusso. but if you are tired of it, then get the enzo, and something else like a daytona. but you will miss the lusso.
Lusso hands down, it is the classic Ferrari "par excellence" Enzo-La Ferrari=flavour of the day hightech Daytona is ok but I rather go for a 275 GTB4 alu.
