If you are happy to spend $ for prestige than fine but the F-Type is twice the driver's car than that old rehashed Vantage. They just stuck some lipstick on it and dropped the price.

Although technically not for sale, I have a well-optioned black 2006 AM Vantage 6sp manual that I would let go for 58k. They are great cars. I have had mine for a few years and have only had one O2 sensor trigger a check engine light so I had the dealer replace it. Mine has gone 22k miles and the maintenance is pretty inexpensive when compared to other exotics. I think my last annual service was in the $800.00 range at a certified dealer.

I need to get a DD before the end of the year. Have been looking for several weeks and after a process of elimination I am debating between the Maser GranTurismo S or a Vantage S ( 1-3 years old that I don't mind leaving in parking lots).

I am leaning towards this one
    2012 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S , $97,999 - Cars.com
but seems high sine the new ones are coming up $100-135 pending options.

    Comments appreciated

John: Just so you understand what I am about to say, I own two Aston's, a Vanquish and an AR1 Roadster, and love them both. However, I just bought a new Gran Turismo S last week. You can find new 2014's for $110-115,000 with four year warranties. The cars have a reputation for being pretty bulletproof. Like you, I am going to use it daily. They are amazingly comprehensively equipped with all the bells and whistles for today's world. I am amazed more people have not discovered these cars. I felt that, for the price, they could not be beat.

Thank you for the comment. We owned a 2011 Vantage Roadster 6 speed for a year and I liked it except for having to shift in the construction zones near us that have since been completed.
Over the mast few weeks, I have driven the Maser several times and for some reason it does seem more comfortable but I can't put my finger on the reason. That being said, the finish of the AM is superior by far.
    I appreciate your comments!

AR1 and Vanquish! Two of my favorite cars. You, sir, have good taste :)

A lot I hope. It's a really nice looking car and they are depreciating worse than the 12C.
