Many thanks for your kind words! 2014 has been incredible with victory in the 24 hours of Spa, 4 podiums in 5 races and the title!!! Wow, I would never have dreamed of it!! Amazing - I still can't believe it!! The GT3 is a more forgiving car to race - more "gentleman appropriate" while the GTE (GT2's real name) is an all out prototype and much more complicated, but a truly amazing experience. As far as the connection between the GT2 and 3 cars with XX cars, it is very difficult to compare. The GT cars are built according to a regulation that is also a moving target as a function of the BoP (balance of performance) while the XXs are free from any regulation and are in many areas (mechanical, electronic and aero) more advanced. At the end of the day, the driver does make the difference though - even in an XX!!! I love the XX programmes because the cars are uniquely amazing with big, noisy powerful engines, and it is awesome to participate in such a programme. Client input is taken into consideration and improvements are constantly being examined - for eg, we have just recently done a minor upgrade on both the FXX and 599XX. Racing - in all forms - does improve the breed (and the driver!!)
Sorry, yesterday I don t looking for the correct translation. Thanks to do it! I m agree too, I love XX Programme with all cars It s much more interesting than some motor show.
Thank you Tom! I missing Paris and also XX Programme or others track event as photographer, not as driver.
De rien, Christian! (Dredged that up from memory. Hope I got the spelling right). Wishing you safe travels & many miles behind the wheel of a car you love... T
I really enjoy reading this and your words are always informative and very appreciated here. I've been a great fan of GT racing since the 550s Maranellos came into GT. So it has been already some time. I quite miss GT(GT1) V12-engined racing cars, so I am especially happy to hear and collect the news about forthcoming LaFerrari XX. All I can say at the moment, it looks, sounds, and expectedly drives gorgeous. Yes, there are many different regulations of the racing classes, etc. and BoP in addition. sometimes it is good, sometimes it's not so good, but of course the driver should be the final factor in competetive racing. Although I am very pleased that the XX is a non restricted car, with all its benefits. I have always liked watching the ferraris on the track. No words can describe that. Beauty in the shape, beauty in the sound, and I can assume for sure that LaFerrari XX is the one to remember. PS. Joining the multilanguage trend ;-) in this thread I can now say to all - Pozdrowienia z Polski ! (Greetings from Poland!)
Molto bene! Google Translate downloaded. Thread subscribed. I look forward to learning about this technical marvel in any language!
Article on Top Gear website about upcoming LaFXX 1050bhp LaFerrari XX lands this December - BBC Top Gear
Just been contacted by my Ferrari dealer manager he asked me if I'm welling to join him for a privet viewing, he didn't say much but we decided to meet and talk about it. Mbn
In all honesty I didn't hear any info, I also didn't show much interest. I will see what I can find when we meet, but I'm sure some here already pulled the plug and can provide way more info than just a potential non interested customer like me. Mbn
As mentioned by Peter it'll be unveiled primarily to CC clients at Abu Dhabi. My dealer is going, and fwiw he told me last week he has a customer who's said he wants one.
How many road legal FXX? I find two: http://images.thecarconnection.com/med/edo-competition-ferrari-fxx_100184473_m.jpg http://i.ytimg.com/vi/S2tEj8XouAc/maxresdefault.jpg
The LaFerrari XX is spied again. This time at Fiorano. http://www.worldcarfans.com/114112084650/laferrari-xx-spied-testing-at-fiorano-circuit Gr. Xander
Thanks Xander. It is getting better and better, so close to Abu Dhabi Finals. I expect greatest changes to rear aero sections (diffuser) which are not revealed yet. Greetz,
Also the front and side aerodynamic elements. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those winglets in the rear that don't go all the way across the back, for some reason, reminds me of the winglets on the Flash's headpiece!...T
I think the front and sides are almost done now. But the whole rear section ... that will be interesting.
So the active element rises to fill the gap between the winglets? Very cool. I bet it looks like a drive-in movie screen from the rear view (under full braking)!
