Was great seeing you both last night, great to hear it's on !! You've both put so much work into this for 10 years !! THANK YOU !!! For some reason I could not comment on here as Rennsport, so I'm now Rennsport1.
Tristan and me are in taking the blue oval pony. I wonder if she can make 100 miles of spirited following/chasing, I might need a map. Toys will be gathered.
Thanks for the great 10 years of FUN!!!! The SSR Fanatics are gearing up to attend. So far 6 firm commits.

Thanks for that list T, I thought I'd only missed one. Verified it was #5. It was also an interesting retrospective to see how my #2 kid has grown....
OK last Sunday Carolyn and I jumped into the Ferrari Badged Explorer and headed into the hinterlands of North Texas with 3 Atlases in hand. There are only so many roads you can do in this area that are really fun and are in good condition. So the first thing we ran into was some construction and some lane sluffing. Even though I pretty well knew where we wanted to go it was tough to put together a run that flowed pretty well. Then the last thing that happened was trying to get from the run to the finish point with out having to drive on 4 lane road. The result was the last 30 miles were BORING but we did get to the finish point. So this will be corrected on our next outing. For those of you who may be on the fence here are a few pictures of the roads that we took last Sunday. You can tell these pics are a week old by the color of the tree leaves. Tomorrow I will give an update on the route with a close approximation of the length. We just have to look at one last segment. Here is the 10th annual D/FW Toy Run Flyer. Please note we will be starting from Dallas Motor Sports a local facility run by Carl Janin and Jonathan Peck. Two long time friends of the Dallas and Fort Worth Motor community. Dallas Motor Sports is located in Wylie Texas at 304 Paul Wilson Road 75098. Here is a quick set of instructions on how to get there. If you are coming from Fort Worth, the Mid Cities, North Dallas, etc. Get on the George Bush and go east to the highway 78 North, Wylie Rd. exit. (This is 10.3 miles east of Coit Rd. for reference) You will proceed North on 78 for approximately 6.5 miles until you get to Ballard Rd (2514). This will take you about 15 minutes. Turn left on Ballard and go approx. 1 mile to Paul Wilson Road and turn right and go to the last building on the right before the turn. The Collin County Sheriffs Dept. will probably have the road blocked off, so tell them you are with the toy run. Parking will be a little hectic but we are working on that now. Remember admission is one or more toys, if you wish to make a monetary donation with a check, please make it out to the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center. If you have any questions either PM me or contact me at [email protected] or call 469.235.5639 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Don, I am in and I think I am included in the ICCSW count that Garrick is putting together. Can't wait and the photographs look great. Regards, Jeff B. 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 LS 1977 Fait 124 spider
Don, I should have 3-4 more cars coming with me. Let's just say they have a peace symbol sticking up out of the hood. They will probably have a scuderia sticker on a window before the rally is done.
A little off topic, but I live in Weatherford which is west of Fort Worth. It's very rare to see nice cars out here, but recently I've seen a White FF and today a Grey F12. Just wondering if maybe it's someone from the Fchat community.
Carolyn and I and the Ferrari badged Explorer have been busy for the past several days. I decided that much of the first run was OK but not great so we basically kept the first 15 miles and threw the rest away. I hope you guys like turns because there are a ton of them on this route. We still have not finalized the end point because I cannot get the fellow that controls the facility to return my phone calls or e-mails. However we do have a secondary spot if I cannot get permission. The run is 82 miles long at this point and it took us about 1.75 hours to run. I am quite sure that a couple of you guys will whittle down that time. Carolyn and I met with the coordinator of the McKinney C.A.S.A. yesterday to talk about the toy donation. They currently have 350 children under their umbrella from newborns to 17 years old. There are some specific needs; For infants and toddlers-anything Barbie, Frozen, Disney, toys that make noise or flash coloring books, stacking toys For Teenage girls-hair accessories, cosmetics and cosmetic bags, For teenage boys-sporting equipment, remote control cars, etc. Generally-board games, puzzles, developmental toys The folks at CASA are almost all volunteers and they really have a tough job, so let's see if we can really give them a big help this year. Again this year we will have a dual contribution. If you want to donate cash or checks it will go to the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center and I will have an envelope at the run to collect your donation. In the event you cannot make the event there are some facilities around town you can leave a toy donation and those people will bring them on the run. I will have a complete list in a day or so. Now for those of you who are fence straddlers check out some of these pictures; Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Don, Nice to meet you on Sunday. It was a perfect day for a wash compared to today. I passed the toy drive info along to the guys at the m5board. We will try to bring both of our BMW e39's. M5-Sterling Grey and 540i Sport in Electric Red. AW
Aubrey, I agree! Monday would not have been a good day to wash ol red. Thanks for your help I will have a list later today.
I cannot reiterate enough the need for toys this year. These folks at the Mckinny C.A.S.A.are almost all volunteer and their children load is really heavy. When we met with them they had about 10 large trash bags of toys collected and they needed a ton more. In the event you will miss-maybe the best road run we have put together-I have arranged for three toy collection points in the Dallas area. So you could drop off your donation there and we would really appreciate it. They in turn will either call me for pick up or transport them to the run. Here are the collection points from East to West A Tin Lizzie Affair 13350 Floyd Circle Dallas 75243 972-234-3791 ______________ Starwood Motors 4641 Nall Rd Dallas 75244 214-367-5400 ______________ Norwood Auto Italia 3210 Commander Drive Carrollton 75006 972-831-8111 We just have a couple of items to wrap up and this event should be on the road. Thanks to all of you for your help. Please spread the word!!!!!!!!!!!!
