The tr uses a bolt instead of a nut like the others. I have never understood why Ferrari changed somthing that worked.

Corvettes of the 60's used the knock off nut, Aston Healy and MGB used a nut, Ferrari with the cars you mentioned used a nut, but ONLY the TR used a bolt style, and they seem to be the only ones with issues.

Back to OP, list the car for $50,000. I'm certain you'll get several offers from guys wearing ski masks.

Hey that one used to belong to Eddie Murphy! Goonie-goo-goo! (how many people remember his "Cookout" routine?)

I remember hearing that concert on cassette back then. Still funny after all these years.

No doubt about it. This will be sold by tomorrow and will emerge on a broker's website priced at $180k in about a week and a half. I can already see it

I'm guessing it gets re listed at $200,000 and in 18-24 months, this puppy will list at $400,000 -- people taking profit from the stock market and parking it in hard assets. Then again, no one really knows where the top of the market lies and where and when the bubble will pop under its own weight. Time will tell.

I'd still find it hard to part withy TR at any price.

Then you should run and sell before the bubble bursts, what are you waiting for ?

I honestly think it's a great time to sell any 80's Ferrari. You could make yourself a tidy profit, and still be able to put a 360 or 550 in your garage.

Crazy as it sounds, but that's exactly what I would be doing.

My only hunch is they would be worth more in the spring? I guess it can't hurt to put it out there and see if there is any real action.

That's the game. Do you sell now and realize a garenteed profit, or wait until the market turtles and kick yourself in the butt.

Or do you hold out, and wait and see. It's a risk. You could sell now make good money, wait and lose money, or wait and make big money (IF prices continue to rise).
