Vettel Getting the early feel of the F Scuderia F1

Don't worry bas, I was only joking, can't see vettel be able to leave just yet, the must be a game plan for him in mind with Ferrari for 2016. Horner did an interview today where he said he thinks next season will be exactly as per this, and he was a bit concerned that 2016 would be the first time there's a challenge to merc......

Data loggers doesn't tell the engineer anything about feel. It can only send data. To the engineer the numbers are everything but he's not driving the car.

It was Alan Mcnish who said a few months ago how important feel is for a driver: He said there was something wrong with the chassis and complained for a couple of races. Engineers did their tests with data loggers and said it's fine. After a lot of complaining they build a new chassis to seemingly identical standards. Didn't tell him which was which, identical everything. Result was he was .5 faster immediately. Engineers scratched their head.

He also commented on how important driver feedback is these days, precisely because of the limited testing available.

 

It sucks we might have to endure another Merc year. I do think they'll be the ones to beat but I'm a bit optimistic that we'll see at least a better challenge from other teams.

 

Vettel is not the solution, we need a good car to win. regards.

Vettel, like Schumacher, also joins Ferrari when a certain group of people dislike him. With enough wins, hopefully he can turn it around.

Proud fan I am and all that.

 

I think Vettel is much more likeable than Schumy and Alonso but probably not as though as them yet.

He's twittered it himself. He has a white helmet with today's date on it to remember his first day in a Ferrari f1. There were rumours he was there already yesterday but was genè instead, preparing the car for him. Will be lapping the whole week-end. Best time so far 1:08 something on pirelli demo tyres and a damp track
