And thanks for starting this thread OP. Still don't get many (hambone, etc). But as somebody said, why not just refer to their freaking names, or at least initials? This is high-school crap folks. Most (if not all) of you are successful people, so don't get this childish behavior .

Better a little foolishness than taking it so seriously and making what should be fun rather nasty at times.

In any case a unique vocabulary is common when establishing community and engaging in peer bonding.

Of course, F1 nicknames are nothing new. Consider the following: El Chueco, The Pampas Bull, Fon, Taffy, The Wee Scot and SuperSwede, to name a few.

 

Indeed. And they're a few of the printable ones!.....

As most know I think, many of 'ours' were initially coined by Isobel. One of the nicest and wittiest posters we have. Her humor may sometimes go over a few heads, but her monikers stick 'cos they're just damn funny and us copycats pick up on them.

If you don't get one, just ask, someone will share the secret.

Babaloo is a another (great, IMO) Isobel'ism. But I seem to recall someone (maybe me ) got 'told off' a while back for using it and it kind of dropped off the radar......

I think it works a treat for him personally.
