Vettel Getting the early feel of the F Scuderia F1

I really hope the bell in Maranello will ring more often for 2015 and hopefully win a championship.

It is so surreal to see Vettel in red. They desperately need a new energy in the team and hopefully he is it.

 

When Shummy arrived, everyone wa spissed because Jean was leaving so he got a cold reception, but after all the wins, we all loved him...as or Fernando, i think he never convinced many tiffosi, Vettel on the other hand as always been linked to ferrari and everyone knows he is a tiffosi, he is very welcome.

 

Can nexy year's car be 1) fast and 2) not fugly ?

 

I've been tifoso since going to Sebring and watching Juan Manuel Fangio win the 12 Hours in 1956 and let me say that Fernando convinced me from the start. The men in the paddock all know that he is the best driver in F1 today and I for one am very, very sorry to see him leave. Sebastien is an excellent driver, among the best but not at all the best today. Here's what I wrote last November after he had won his fourth WDC:


"Despite his four consecutive WDC's, I am far from persuaded that Sebastien is the 'head-and-shoulders-better' driver that many believe he is. To me it is absolutely clear that for four years he was driving a car that was indeed 'head-and-shoulders' better than any other car on the grid.

"Mark Webber, a journeyman middle of the pack driver his entire pre-Red Bull career, suddenly is on the front row almost every race? Webber, a really good guy but only a fair driver, begins in F1 in 2002 age 26, racing for such mediocre teams as Minardi and Jaguar. When he joins Williams he is a little bit better than middle pack but nowhere near a consistent challenger. Then he joins RedBull in 2007 at age 31 still racing just above middle of pack for a couple of years as the car is improving.

"Comes 2009 and Sebastien Vettel joins Red Bull and a dramatically improved car. At age 33 after racing in F1 for seven years Mark finally wins his first F1 race, the 2009 German GP and his second, the Brazilian G.P. Comes 2010 and an utterly dominant Red Bull car and what have we in Mark Webber? - four F! wins, five poles (OVER VETTEL!) AND TEN PODIUMS!! He actually led the drivers' championship after Monaco and could have been 2010 World Champion if he had won the last race at Abu Dhabi and Fernando had finished no higher than third! This from a guy who had never been on the podium before!

"Sebastien is an outstanding driver, don't misunderstand me, as are at least a half dozen others, Fernando (to me the best driving today), Lewis, Nico, Kimi, maybe Daniel. But since 2009 and until this year F1 has been all about the Red Bull car. So I can do without Seb in my Ferraris. I want Fred to win a couple of WDC's in red and I also think the Scuderia has a potentially sensational young development driver coming up." [our lamented Jules Bianchi]

And didn't this season underline the point? He was never competitive with team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.

I'd far rather have Fernando in a red car the next few seasons than Seb. Hope I'm wrong but I'm not optimistic even when Ferrari gets their cars right.

 

All good points. I was impressed with Alonso the first time that I saw him driving a Minardi. He is an exceptional talent, I am sorry to see him leave Ferrari.

Wow those are really brilliant! Seb seems very excited and motivated in the video. I believe he will work very hard with Kimi to put the Ferrari back on top. It may take time to be competitive, but I am looking forward to many great seasons in the future!

 

Great video and pictures. As a fan of Seb and Kimi - and a new fan of Ferrari, I can't wait for the new season to begin!

 

it's your opinion, i have only to respect it, but i don't forget a young Vettel trouncing lewis hamilton while driving a Toro rossol in Brazil, against one of the 2 best cars of the season, driven by one of the 2 best drivers that same season...nor the earlyer victory at Monza....do you remeber the last driver to win a race in a midfield car?

 

Sir Stirling Moss? ;-) can't argue your valid comment. Actually, Seb's first win for Toro Rosso was at Monza, 2008, an utterly amazing achievement, the youngest driver at 21 years and a few days, ever to win an F1 G.P. - against the entire field of excellent drivers, not just Lewis.

 

I have to disagree here. From what I can tell Fernando was loved by the Tifosi

 

It wasn't even a midfield car, it was a freaking Minardi... but of course, it was in the rain, and to some here that means that fast cars become slow and vice versa. Only in Monza, of course, and only 2008.

 

Rain is the great equalizer. Many young drivers have shown their worth initially on a wet track.
