That is pretty cool. That would be awesome for F1 drivers. Though maybe distracting at those speeds.

Motorcycle or auto racing, you don't specify...Check with your sanctioning body... As far as I know motorcycle helmets are designed to different standards and not legal for the auto racing series that I'm familiar with...

    Best,

Just to reinforce, if you can try it on that is the best. If you have any big Circle Track stores near you they will usually have a selection also, road race specific stores are few and far between. I like to wear the helmet for at least 20-30 minutes when I am trying one, just walk around the store and check stuff out. Shake your head, move around, if you are going to wear a balaclava be sure to use that when test fitting. I wear glasses, so getting a wide port is important for me. Play with your peripheral vision when you have the helmet on, on track you are making lots of quick left/right glances, not always turning your head (especially with a Hans on). FWIW, I'm using a Bell at the moment, but this will be it's last Snell year. I will be in the hunt soon, also. Lot's of cooler helmets today, since I bought my last one. One more thing, most organizers won't let you use a motorcycle helmet in an automotive situation.
Good luck, all good advice here.

Correct. The OP says it's for track use, which means it has to be Snell approved and have the sticker inside to prove it. This goes for racing and track days. Many motorcycle helmets do not meet Snell specs. If you don't have the Snell sticker you will be in for a nasty surprise at your first tech inspection.

As stated by others try the helmet on and wear it for awhile if you can in the store. If you are racing make sure you have your balaclava to try under the helmet. Buy the lightest and best helmet you can afford and I am a firm believer in head & neck restraints such as a Hans device. Doctors have gotten pretty good at mending broken bones below the neck. They're not so good at repairing skulls and necks. Good luck on your search and have a great and safe time at the track. I will be replacing my Snell 2005 helmet in 2015 as it will no longer be legal to use in 2016.
