It makes you neither a "fool" nor a "realist".
It made you a "Seller" whom at the time of sale, perceived the $145,000.00 offering & subsequent sale as Prudent".

Thanks and I'm aware of the GT40 linage but was just offering this gentleman a chance to clarify his remarks since he seemed to have been responding in the heat of the moment.

    Cam,
You guys always have the low mileage GT's... I'd be curious what this would actually sell for.

Possibly because you frequently like to refer to auction buyers as being drunk at the time of purchase or Ford enthusiasts as Bubbas? It hardly puts people in the frame of mind to be receptive to your point of view when you start off abrasively and continually reinforce negative imagery.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Kind of like the F40 owners that didn't sell at 700k last year were left "holding the bag?" Cause that's where the FGT is heading - up. Why is he F40 considered a good investment yet the Ford GT you call an over inflated market? Do they not reflect a valuation that people find reasonable at the current time? Every time you discuss the Ford GT you do so in a negative way, leading me to believe that you are mad at yourself for selling yours. Don't want to be called bud? Think when addressing us as Bubba then.

    BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He needs to see a therapist on the issue. Most of his posts could be traced back to that. Poor guy is in denial....thinks his kit car is headed to be worth more than the FGT too.....if that doesn't establish how deluded he is what more do we need to see LOL.

Go on with the stupid posts.....everyone is getting wise to what a fool he is....been banned from a few forums as a result.

99.9% of FGT owners did not buy their cars at auction and were not inebriated when doing so. The .01% that did buy their cars at auction in many cases are inebriated and I think most would agree that auction prices at places like BJ do not accurately reflect the market. I'm sorry if that fact is abrasive. I'll retract my Bubba pejorative but wonder why you have not waded in when others were making penis references and using perjoratives of their own when all I suggested was that prices were inflated?

I'm deluded. I need to see a therapist. I'm stupid. I mean come on. All this because I do not believe the FGT is in the same collector league as an F40 and I think current prices are inflated artificially? Please name the forums I am banned from? There is one and it is the FGT Alley. I had one individual in particular that did nothing but call me names for having those opinions on the car. For all I know it is you. Eventually I responded with my own name calling which was a mistake and was instantly held accountable and removed unlike the gentleman who had been doing it for months. I'm going to call out the FGT market for what it is. Overinflated. If that get's me banned then so be it.

You get banned because you're a nuisance Luke......and you're completely oblivious to it.

You are exactly right. I was banned because it is a nuisance for a few to have someone calling the FGT market overinflated. Nowhere have I read that stating opinions that may not be popular was cause for being banned or having people call me stupid, deluded, needing to see a therapist, or having a penis issue? I'll go back and read the forum agreements again. Possibly I missed something.

Why, why, why do you go directly to sites and threads created for the FGT just make those statements? Do you really think anyone cares to read these churlish posts?

Hence, you are labeled a nuisance, get banned and called names.

Reflect on that for a short while.

People can disagree with me until they are blue in the face. I have a friend that owns two FGTs. He feels differently than I do about the market as he recently added a second FGT to his collection. Not once has he attacked me in the personal way that you and just a small handful of others have. I'm just going to bite my lip when you call me names and stick with my assertion that the FGT market is out of line right now and that I would be cautious as a buyer. Clearly, name calling is accepted on many forums provided its me thats being called the names. My job is to never ever slip and do the same as I am then subjected to immediate sanctions for even the briefest lapse in decorum.

The FGT market is over inflated. Wrapper cars will continue to command these inflated values. Drivers with miles will not sorry. Any new halo car coming from Ford will have little affect on wrapper cars but will put a lot of pressure on those FGTs with miles on them. Those are my opinions right or wrong.

I feel no compulsion to explain why I wish to share my opinions on the FGT market. I also feel no compulsion to carry on a debate about what happened on another forum. I explained it. I am no longer on that forum at the request of the owner. I will not be going back. End of story. I also feel no compulsion to respond to yet another ad hominem attack regarding my friends.

The current FGT market is overinflated.

Personally, I love that the Ford Gt market is exploding.. After having dinner with Camillo last month, we are all pretty comfortable that the 2015 FGT, if it ever appears, really isnt going to affect our cars. They wont be similar enough to hurt anything.. Even if it does, who cares.. They are a blast to drive and mine is staying put. I hope the Murcielago market soars like that someday too. LOL

My message earlier is applicable to both sides of the argument:

I don't think we need to denigrate Luke's car or be inappropriate ourselves in order to provide feedback on inappropriate posts.

In any case, generalised market discussions such as these are more suited to the Ford model forums rather than the classifieds. The discussion here should be about the specific car for sale rather than the general market or specific disputes about playing nicely on the forum. I have also deleted a personal attack post. With faults on both sides (some extending beyond this thread), hopefully we can settle this down without any bans.

Let's return to discussion of this:

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Yeah if a new FGT comes out, the 05-06 market won't drop, it might level off for a bit but I don't see the prices of them dropping ever... Which is a shame because I can't comfortably afford one :(

Nope, wrong. The current FGT market is exactly what people think the car is worth.

You, however see it as overinflated because you were unable to take advantage and sold yours too cheaply. The FGT is headed for 500K territory in 5 years for an under 10,000 mile car and 350K for an under 20,000 mile car. Bookmark this and get back with me then.

Your just as wrong on this issue as you were on selling yours when you did. Sorry.

    Wow this thread blew up;

    My opinion....

    Carrera GT
    Ford GT
    Enzo

3 cars made from 2003 to 2006 I think will continue to appreciate. They are simple cars with no technology to get old. Relatively simple drivers cars that are amazing and low productions.

It seems like (and I could be wrong) people like cars that have never been advertised. So I thought I would make this thread....
Never my intentions, just trying to sell a rare car before it gets advertised....
    Nope :)
    I agree!
Some people invest in cars vs the stock market. Just depends on what your purpose is....
I agree, amazing American muscle car....
We had one with 20k miles that was awesome to drive.
    Nice combo of cars.....
I also think these will just continue to rise....

I Agree, Cam. SLR too. 05/06 coupes are Undervalued IMO and it's build quality is far superior than the FGT maybe not the CGT. I did sell mine and replace it with a FGT with No regrets :) but I do love SLR's.

I was on the fence about adding the SLR to that list! That is another amazing car. I just bought a coupe with 23k miles that will be here in a week or so.

    Hello Cam; Just to clarify.

Prior to your posting this Ford GT for sale here on Ferrari Chat, this Ford GT had never been advertised as for sale on any site nor anywhere, is this correct? Thanks.

Per Andrew's request, please start another thread maybe in the American Muscle section and I'll be more than willing to bookmark and discuss as time goes by. That is if you guys can keep your undies from getting in a bunch if I don't share your enthusiasm...
