Hi I have finally managed to buy a 1987 GTS Turbo - seen here leaving Naples (Italy) on the way back to the UK. Will post more pictures in a couple of weeks when the car is registered in the UK! Advice needed: the car is fitted with beige carpets. Any thoughts on changing them to the Ruby Red. Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wait some photos...wery nice car(Ihave one)and it is good to drive!Read the post of Alberto,he is a specialist of this car...congratulations...
Very nice looking. I changed the carpets in my '86 328 GTS from ugly tan/brown to a Wilton wool red, to match the rosso corsa exterior. Looks nice! I ordered the kit from World in Los Angeles, then had a professional upholsterer install it; glad I did, came out nice. I also had the carpet trimmed in matching red vinyl. The first photo is of my revised 328 (with new seats that go all the way to the rear bulkhead); the second is of a stock RHD 328 with red carpet, presumably in the UK. I used this photo to help make up my mind. I do advise fitting rubber or plastic floor mats to protect the carpet, though. Cheers, Rich Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for sharing the pics Rich....does look very nice with the Red interior. Will send pics as soon as i get my hands on the car!
well.....i finally picked up the car today and drove it 300km back home. First of all i have to thank Alberto for writing up this vehicle so well and convincingly. All i can say is AMAZING! This is truly a fantastic car to drive - when the turbos activate at 3500rpm it just rockets off. It brings back fond memories of my Maserati 3200GT that had twin turbos and was a raw sportscar....i only sold it because the maintenance bills were simply too high. Car is being professionally valeted and i will post pictures in the coming days.
I'm happy you liked the car, I just wrote the truth about that model, a very exciting and excellent car. And the "328" GTB turbo is even better, a super sharp, very rare and super exciting vintage supercar. Ciao
