Looks great! For me, i want to fill the well especially the gap in the rear but dont want it too low to the ground. The 19's will achieve this and leaves room to lower the stance to fill the gap

You need to be careful of offsets and wheel widths , a lot of rubbing can go on , do a search , you will find a lot of discussion on this topic . Filling the opening will look great , but will suck if they rub over every bump and dip . Good luck

19s leave VERY LITTLE sidewall to absorb potholes, etc. Split sidewalls, bent wheels result. You don't carry a spare. How far you going?

    Just to add:

The 348 is quite stiffly sprung so if your roads are a bit rough you could find that the car becomes a bit too crashy on 19's and no longer a pleasure to drive.

The car sits on adjustable coil-overs so what's "stock" height?

In post # 4 , image 5887 . Imho , take a close look ,the size and offset of those rear wheels make it look like a clown car

The 348 is a wide short car , and i think the wide rear looks good , but go too wide with the rear wheels and the car looks wider than it is long , not good .

make it look more aggressive definitely handles much better with wider rubber and lower stance

I have the same 19 wheels as harleyx49...... I think they look great on this car, however, I also have the original 17s in case I'd ever want to convert the car back to OEM

    Ron,

I like the 19's but think the 18's improve on the oem 17's and sit perfectly without "overdoing it."

In the World of BMW E46 M3's there's a saying:

    "19's for show - 18's to go!"

Basically, test drivers found that 18" wheels gave a fantastic ride and suited the chassis really well, but on 19" wheels, which they said looked better, the car became too crashy and felt more nervous resulting in the car being slower and less enjoyable to drive on twisty roads.

The other problem with 19's on a 348 (as some have already noted), is that the 348 was designed for 17" wheels and so 19's look like the wheels are too big for the car, giving a bit of a "Hot Wheels" look. This also applies to the 355. Basically the 19's are out of scale to the car.

The 360 cars onwards were designed for 18"+ wheels and so 19" wheels still look to be in scale to car and suit them better.

At the end of the day it's a personal choice that no one else can make for you, but I'd be wary of making car too stiff (due to the lack of side wall), and making the car less of a pleasure to drive.

For Me personally, going is far more important than showing!

If 19s is " hot wheel" then there's no better look that exists
