So there's one pic of the car on the track in that thread and it's branded "heavily tracked"? Seems like there is a lot of hate for this car. Nearly each new post to this thread is an attack or criticism of one sort or another. The car was treated rough, I think we got it!
Anyone know what happened to the guy that previously owned the car? After L4P went down, he basically disappeared.
This Scud is now for sale again and asking a crazy amount: $200K https://www.sanfranciscosportscars.com/used-vehicle-2008-ferrari-430-scuderia-c-724/ vin ZFFKW64AX80159926 159926 Some observations: - I got confirmation of a definite hit/accident due to is “jumping a curb while doing donuts in a parking lot”... so much for being a “no stories car as described in the ad”, although this seems to be due to an un-informed sales person (this dealership generally are straight shooters). As far as I could tell, it seems to be the front driver’s corner. I was told that the car was repaired at a Ferrari dealer and a wheel and suspension components were swapped. The front driver’s side suspension arms and other assorted bits definitely look newer than the other 3 corners. Apparently no paintwork was required in the repair. - At 27,700 miles, the car has barely moved 500 miles since 2014 when this thread was started. Tires are all dead at 8-9 years old. It is most definitely in need of servicing since it seems to be neglected a bit. No service history is available (hmmm, I wonder why?) - The body seems super straight, but the paint definitely shows some scuffs. Possibly from the multiple wraps the car has had? I am actively looking for a Scuderia, preferably not one as abused / hard lived as this one. Nonetheless I made them an offer that I think is commensurate to the car’s history and condition and got denied even the opportunity to drive it to change my mind. I think they’re going to sit on this Scud for a long time at $200K, but at least they have an offer from me (one which they don’t like). “Ridden hard and put away wet” was used as a description earlier on this thread... I’d have to agree after seeing it in person. It’s sad, because it is one of the most beautiful Scuderias I’ve ever seen. Shame... I’m curious: what are folks’ opinions of what this car could be worth? I hope this is useful to someone out there! Ruben
This thread is like listening to the old ladies in my home town talking trash.... You can comment on the car history wo the added people bashing..... I have no skin in this car other than my observation. [[dons flame suit}}}
Hmm clean carfax must be ok. Looking for the “right” buyer. Don’t know about the other stuff but the market is HOT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just saw this beautiful scud listed now for $194k. If I didn't know about Fchat I would have called about it and possibly made a deal but I stopped here first as usual and Fchat wins again! Thanks everyone for the documentation. It's also not everyday someone posts an ad with a picture that has a big screaming "service" light on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
