i would like to remove the instrument nacelle, as i want to put new vinyl on it: is that a difficult thing or can i do it by myself? is there a discussion here with some pictures or figures where i can learn how to do it?

I'm talking of the nacelle (part. 4) and instrument panel (part. 1)

Thank you very much for your help

    ciao

Not so bad. Remove first steering wheel. Then instrument panel. Disconnect electrical connectors. Then four nuts, one in each corner need to come off and that's it.

1- remove five or six screws to remove steering wheel
2- using dental floss remove warning lights in four corners of panel
3- using screw driver remove four screws accessed through the light holes.
4- pull panel out. Screws will be on the shelf.

Once the panel is out there are four nuts, one in each corner of the binnacle. They are very small. I used a needle nose pliers to reach the ones closest to the firewall because my hands are big. Work slow take your time. Awkward position but doable. Good luck !

Another tip. I replaced the vinyl with identical leather. It GREATLY reduced reflected light in the windshield. I highly recommend this. It looks the same but acts very different.
