Are the internals (crank/con rods/pistons, etc) present?

That's really fantastic, to finally get it running!

When I was a kid, Politoys model of it was one of my favorites.
When at school, I had a picture of Modulo AND Dino Competizione at the cover of my workbook.

And when I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Paolo Martin and hear his story about how it came to existence, a few years ago, I started to appreciate it even more.

OT, it still amuses me why none of period scale models of Modulo (and most other show cars) were made in the correct colors. Or maybe some were - I don't know if it wore some other paintschemes than white and black?

It was officially painted light blue at one point, too.

Will the 12 translucent velocity stacks remain after she's a runner?

Thank you. In that case I presume that one of Mercury 1/32 models might be the only period one that is correct.

(Redline models are quite recent, of course.)

    Thanks.
With all that you have on your plate these days that's not too bad.

Looking forward to seeing it then.

    Jim,
    Congrats on scoring the Modulo!!!
Can't wait to watch and read along as you bring her to life.

Also can't wait to see how two people can possibly sit in that car at the same time, without one of them putting their arm over the other's shoulders :)

Since you're scooping up Pininfarina works, isn't it time to get one for taking the whole family along with?

A DIAMOND wheel layout. They must have been hitting the grappa HARD when they came up with this one. Love it :)

Not as Modulo as 0864 likely. Video of it moving was done coasting down hill.

Does anybody know at which time those (at least) two repaints took place? I know it was black in Geneva 1970 and than in a blueish silver paint for quite a time, but best known in white.

Jim, which color is your favorite for the Modulo and which will be the one you paint it in?

I like and am leaving the White she was painted in when I bought her from Pininfarina.

Looks best in white or light color to show the lines. Old pic, but too much of it disappears in black.

Some strange statements on that modeling website: "Despite its sharp design and winning many awards, the car’s fate was to be dismantled for parts. Design wise, due to the deep inset wheels, the car could only drive in a straight line. Well it’s a Ferrari, is it not!" I expect the model maker will be more devoted to accuracy than the author of these comments.
