Paint cleaning help?

You can try meguiars show car glaze #7. It will help your single stage paint paint by replenishing oils back into the paint.

 

On my mid sixties corvettes I use meguirs fine cut cleaner with a rotary buffer, then machine glaze, swirl remover and then a good quality top coat wax.

Single stage loves to be polished. Obviously you don't want to remove paint evey time (fine cut cleaner) but every once in a while its needed to remove an oxidized layer. Usually if you fine cut clean it once and stay on top of keeping it (the paint) happy and protected with a good carnuba or similar you don't have to go back to that agressive stage.

 

Remember....Use the Least aggressive to get the JOB done....sometimes it takes something a little more aggressive, thats why you do a test section.

any glaze will really make your paint look wetter, but polishing will make it look deeper and more crisp.

Menerna works really well on singl stage, something like 4000, or 4500 will d wonders for your paint as long as there is enough paint to work with on the car.

top ta with a carnuba like pinnacle souveran, or P21s and you will have a great looking car, albeit defect will remain since you are not cutting at all.
