Do the 95 side engine bay pieces typically not have all the plaques?

This was my car that sold through the moto+match site two years or so ago (at 58,xxx miles). It came out of an exotic rental fleet in Arizona hence the high miles. Also had a lower right front impact with a curb when a renter took a corner too wide. Otherwise it was a fantastic car. To my knowledge last major was done in 2010 so that will need to be addressed. Top was working fine when I had it.

The engine bad rain guards should have stickers. The guards have been replaced. That car has been kicked around a lot. I was interested in it 3 years ago when it was on Ebay. There were some questions about the serial number plate and when I asked about it the car disappeared. It returned some time later. I believe it has changed hands at least twice since then but I'm not sure. At the time it also was showing quite a bit of wear and tear. 61k miles now. Dealer is asking $44,900. price seem high for a 61k car unless it has had a recent major. If it's ready to go it's about right.

WTF? 1995 Porsche F355? I wouldn't trust a seller that makes that big a gaff and doesn't even bother to correct the add. How many other "errors" are there? Maybe a salvage title and they just forgot to mention it? Says there is a guaranty if not as represented. Does that mean you get your money back if its not a Porsche 355?

Anyone that has a Ferrari and puts Sumitomo tires on it tells me they cut corners and dont want to spend money. Wonder where else they save a buck or two!?!?!
I thought those rain guards were supposed to have decals on them. Sounds like another Ferrari with a lot of stories to get past.

No one said a bad thing about the 928. I like a 928. I would park one right next to my F355 if I had a F355.

INTERESTING!!! There seems to be someone else on FerrariChat with the same story, but a little more detail stating the car was salvaged after the damage:

Found this car on eBay this morning, and actually just placed the winning bid at $41.5K. At first glance I was thinking the price is probably in line with the market given the mileage. The seller seems to have a good rep on eBay. Even had him send service records. Of course there was no way I was going to throw down the cash before doing any research. Definitely glad I did. Seem to be way too many red flags!

Let me know what you guys think...

I was up way too late researching this car...yes, it definitely had frame damage from contact with a curb. Guess that guy found out very quickly that driving skills don't come with the car.

I have the service record from Ferrari Denver totally just over $20K. Seems that whatever needed to be taken care of was done (continue to get an error while trying to attach the PDF)...

I'm I stupid for considering this car?
The price seems right for what this thing has been through. Although I keep all my cars as pristine as possible, I'm looking for an 355 in the "driver's car" category...
Of course the final box I need to check is a compression/leak down test. Not worried about the expense; just don't want to waste my time if you guys think its not worth pursuing.

I welcome all thoughts, opinions, and face slaps!

    Thanks!!!

I personally would not buy this car given it's reputation and title. If I would consider it, the price would have to be in the low 30's maybe even high 20's.

How long did you own the car? do you have the certification from the Ferrari mechanic stating No Frame Damage?

Trying to put all the puzzle pieces together. Thanks for the help!
