Yeah, so I never really started looking at those until I JUST noticed that the euro cars dont have anything there. Nothing. Looks way better... darn it. Sorry, just ranting late at night. But really... darn it. At least on my GT3 i can swap it for a clear LED... but man... euro ones not having anything there... darn.

I've always appreciated the cleaner lines of the EU cars.

    Fortunately, I have one.

Could not agree with you more! Those orange thingies bother me too!
I was thinking of getting the euro spec sans thingies bumpers but it is a very
    expensive mod..

Is that an option?!? Man, i can see that being real expensive... but it is soooooo much nicer looking... I was going through the picture thread envying all the early photos that didn't have the thingies.

Yes you can get the euro front and back sans thingies bumpers from Ricambi I think.
They cost about $15k USD together plus paying for paint, protective film and install: a lot imo for not having the thingies!

Forgot to mention that the thingies are actually US DOT required side marker lights so if one were to remove them this would
probably result in a US Spec car's ecu to throw an error code as it would sense the lights are missing.

You can get body color inserts made. There are few cars here in California that have had this done. There are couple different ways to accomplish it.
Below is forum member "freshmeat"'s Scuderia to show you what I mean. There are a few Italia's and other Ferraris running around with this mod. If you would like help PM me or he might be able to help you as well.

US spec cars also show up with 4x4 like ride height on top of the ugly reflectors.

US Government bureaucratic meddling. The thingies are to keep you "safe."

"Cheap" solutions exist as has been noted. BTW Novitec makes a black side blinker unit; it blinks white. Actually quite nice but not so cheap -- more than $200 as I recall.

Any decent bumper shop can remove them and paint over it. You'll never know they were there.

I've seen quite a few cars with deleted markers.

Yes! Got it done a few weeks ago. It's a great mod. A little louder and quite a bit more raw. I just wish I had more time to drive it :)
Haven't seen you around in quite a while. Hope everything is well!

I think they are called amber side markers :)

Many people I know usually get them painted to match the color of the car... I know with Porsche it is very popular to get the clear side markers

I hate those side markers on our US cars as well. One of the first mods I did was having them painted. It makes a big difference IMHO. Before I got my car compared pics of 2 white 458 with and w/o the markers and w/o is so much cleaner.

Don't believe my Porsche and two Audis have them. Must be integrated into the mirrors?

If the lights wrap around sufficiently the manufacturer is granted a bye by the bureaucrats. Ferraris do not do that.
