IIRC, when I bought my car ~7 years ago, a 355 and 993tt were similarly priced (60-70K). I would LOVE to see the price take off like the 993s.

    Compare this post from '09:

Wow, Congratulations! Only thing better than one F355 is two of them.

For everyone on the fence about buying at todays prices.... this sale speaks volumes to how desirable the F355 is to those who have experienced driving and owning one.

I may go after the yellow B on Ebay. Its a very complete car but a little out of my pricerange. I think owner will let it go for just under 80k from our last conversation. Hmmmmm.

Don't get discouraged. If you are really looking for more of a driver and don't mind something with 40k plus miles I don't think you will have to much trouble. I bet you can find something for around $50k with higher miles and in need of basic cosmetic fixes. Don't be scared of higher mile F355's. If they have been taken care of the engines are fine. You need to look private party though because dealers take those cars make the fixes and then ask $20k more.

I know you guys think time is shortning on these cars availability but I was waiting to see how the auction panned out.
Have you seen the car in person? Its only 2 hours from me which is another bonus and savings on a possible shipment.

It's a very well taken care of car.

Threads here on it. The owner used to be a member here. I'm betting you would find barely anything on it to make you pause...

I will see how the auction goes. He has two offers the highest is $75 he said. Both from Ebay. Do you think waiting until spring is a bad idea? I would be better suited but I feel they will really go up with the weather.

Many feel that they do. I believe they do but don't have any actually evidence to back that claim up.

I wish there was something that excited me at the 60k - 70k range. Just nothing out there and I imagine many others feel the same way. If I could of picked up a 993 tt years ago that might have been tempting but they are in the stratosphere now. Good luck and spend the extra for a good one. It will not disappoint you. And even if your 5k to 10k higher than you want it will be worth it.

As cool as the 993tt's are, they're just another Porsche. Line them side by side and watch which car people gravitate to. I know. I know. It's not about attention. :)

I almost bought this car last summer for 46.5k. I should have done it and I'm kicking myself for not buying it. It's fully sorted and probably the best one for sale on the open market.
Now, 85K asking price, nope, not happening. 75K offer, nope not happening either. Mid 60s yes, maximum. The car is fully sorted, I will give him that. The owner stated up front he will do a full major service and try and flip it for $$$$$.
