Depends on what you want to spend. Griot's is really nice stuff. I've used them for awhile now with no hick ups. If money is no object, get the rupes. Most are dual action polishers, it's more about the pads you use and what your goal out of the paint is.

I like all of Griot's products, mostly due to the guarantee. Their orbital polishers, both 6" & 3" are good units. For actual polish and waxes, I tend to stick with Meguiar's - top quality stuff and it works for me.

For 'package' deals, you might also look at Detailers Domain and AutoGeek. Both offer periodic package deals on polishers etc, and Detailers Domain often offers discounts to various forum members. Not sure if FC is one, but you could ask!

    BrettC,

are you looking for a start from scratch setup? I can get you in line with all the same produts that I use on my clients cars from Detailed Image. I order almost EVERYTHING from them!

what are you looking for? wash items, polishing setup, coatings? Let me know how in-depth you want to go, and Ill organize a solid package for you. If you would like, feel free to give me a call 7143565145 to discuss as there are MANY options available.

I would get a whole slew of things, but if you are just looking for your single car, some products would suit you better than others. Give me a call, color, damage, year, etc all dictate what products I would use

I started with Griot's stuff (Polishers, car care, even small garage items) and have no complaints at all. Had an issue with a backing plate for a 3" orbital and they replaced with a new machine no questions asked. I like their products a lot.

I also love Detailed Image ... great stuff. If you have any questions e-mail them DI directly. I found out that Reese in the Customer Dept. is super cool. My 2 favorite manufacturers that are available through DI are Chemical Guys and Poor Boy's.
They have a great product there called Natural Look that is awesome all around interior product. Keeps black stuff looking new (dashboard, rubber even leather) and great without the un-necessary shine.

:) The real challenge will be STOPPING after you buy your initial kit and supplies. You will be amazed at what you find down the road that you cannot live without. My personal undoing was microfiber cloths on sale. I now have many unopened packages from a variety of manufacturers just because they were a good deal. I will probably not have to buy microfibers again.....until the next sale. BEWARE!

hahaha, this is very true. I look at the shelves in the shop and have come to realize I need to use up what I have before buying something else that is the same thing from a different company (or close to it)

Its a disease looking at Detailed Image, and hits the wallet!
