I remember that car specifically. Someone shot photos of it down at the Navy Yard in Philly for the for sale Ad.

I was told 30k when I spoke to the owner (aka this guy). Im not buying any of it. Its a true miles unknown car as well. The spedo and odo never worked during the entire inspection. That fight there is title/odo fraud itself.

Hi guys, are you all impeachment attorneys?? Asking what was paid, what someone would sell for etc. You should have bought the car for 30k because that price was when nobody was buying back in December, I had to literally push my way through buyers to get this car, the gentleman ran a busy A-1 class shop over there and if he sees this post thank you for the car!! 42000 views on ebay LOL more than the F1 MOVING car you are all so infatuated with. HAAAAAA. Sales tax/tags is also not cheap it costs thousands you can do the math yourself of how one would arrive at 35000.

Here is a picture of the seat right now go look at the dates detectives. Sorry that the dealer who photoed the car in those pics didn't clean it before, a little detail work goes along way. I conditioned these seats and you can see clearly. I have nothing to hide on the condition on this car as I stated I have owned a 355 before this was a purchase so I could try a gated gts!!

She runs great shifts great brakes are firm, sure it could use a few small trim items, I am currently working on the car as you can see in the photos, but this is a driver guys I will say it again. I could see if I was trying to pass it off as a concours car, but again THIS IS A 35000 DRIVER THAT I AM PROUD TO OWN. I don't know what else to say to you all, sorry the interior isn't sticky nor sun faded and the airbag isn't warped like the one you paid double for with a rolled back odometer, im truly sorry!! Haters gonna hate!

Haha, MIKED355, go rant about sending your paint meter in the mail to assess the true condition of cars. Its because of people like you that so many are deterred from Ferrari's in the first place. If I listened to half the BS on an internet forum, I never would have purchased a Ferrari, its like a bunch of kids in a sand box here.

    Thanks!

If you had half a brain when you drove it and realized the spedo did not work and for how long no one knows, then you would know that is TMU. Thats a classic TMU scenario. Oh and yes you should, and also tell him (yourself), you paid 5 grand too much.

Ok thanks for your input Mike, lets move it along to something more constructive. Car runs great, trying to figure out how much more power the euro model has than a us. Anybody know?

If you're happy with the car than I'm happy for you.

Just saying you would be better off being honest about things. Selling price is selling price, not +shipping/tax/title/license/insurance/etc.

Leather conditioner does not fix broken seams and ripped leather.

But you already know what I'm telling you here so let's just keep it honest

Im not hiding anything about the condition of the car, I enclosed photos of the same seats you showed. You can see the same seam that you showed as well. Can't be any more transparent than that! They were dry and in need of conditioning. Ferrarichat members made this car out to be a complete turd, but it really isn't one. You guys can continue to point out every flaw, I agree it is not perfect, but again I am calling it a driver not a concours car. Selling price to me does include all those extras because that's the true total cost out the door of the car. You can buy a car and not register it, but what good is that? Sale tax isn't free.

I appreciate the warm welcome. Trying to be a real member here.

You said the seats were fine, here's a pic. I post the close up and you're still trying to say that conditioner fixes this? Your airial photo looks like the same ripped seat but shinier.

You want to argue details that can be plainly seen and follow it up with we all overpaid? Lol, guess I'm done here. Enjoy your car

Well, let's put an end to the drama, I am willing.

Post the vin and/or the carfax and it should show that the title got updated and it will end all the doubters and we can start talking about the cars again (and be friends)

    What do you say?

We can go back and forth about one split seam guys, that does not make a seat trashed by any means. They ARE nice. I showed you pictures from today. Again, why would I take pictures of the same seat that you showed if I was concealing something. Also, I could have easily glued the seat but it isn't bad so I left it, it doesn't bother me one bit. Things can be fixed guys these are just cars.

I even used a high flash which brings out all imperfections. You showed me ones from months ago. Conditioning got rid of whatever residue was on the seats, they needed some help and I took care of it. They look great and they are soft not hard or brittle/cracked. You said the car needed a full new interior. Sorry thats not the case here, you should have inspected the car in person. There is no misrepresentation and no gain from such so please just go enjoy your 800000 dollar perfect concours GTS and lets all get along.

Here is my title, look at the issue date. I blacked out important information like dealer ID because that wouldn't be fair to the previous seller. He is a stand up guy and sold me a better car than I ever thought it was in person. I bought this car to enjoy and posted here to dispel all the hearsay everyone is so infatuated with.

I will gladly stop posting if that helps.

Why black out the vin? No name showing or address, you guys just flipped it from a name to the dealer name. If I remember correctly, it was thomguys that owned that little shop and you guys went in on it. That little snippet of the title tells nothing.

yeah, nothing wrong with posting the VIN, that's what tells the story. Most of us here share our Vins.

I post all the work/maintenance/upgrades I do to my car, if anyone wanted to buy my car one day, it's all documented right here.

    So how about it?

ZFFPR4ZB000102602, thats the vin. No secret. Just wonder why he blocked it out. Without showing a name on title, this means nothing. Hell it could be a reissued duplicate title.

LOL !!!!! Look at the issue date, go run a carfax. I don't know what else to tell you pal why would I share my name and address on a public forum, I can put whatever snippet I want out there, you can see the last 3 of the vin, go put it away for your records. You also see the ISSUE DATE, the make and model of the car. I'm sure a ferrarichat detective will post the rest of the vin momentarily...

Can we stop the witch hunt?

He's a new owner. A brother now. He's happy with the car. As long as he's not trying to flip the car, who cares. We can debate the pictures, history, price etc forever but that will only piss more people off and segregate our group even further.

    Welcome GTSNJ.

Thanks guys. I am the new owner. I am not a dealer. I am not here to flip this car. I introduced myself to the forum with this thread. Its my second Ferrari, the first I sold after two years so I could try something different.

Do you guys ever get bored of your car? I think the 355 is an awesome ride and I wanted to try something different, so I went with a GTS. I also like high performance German cars. My favorite was my 86 951 turbo. The noses look similar at first glance. This car reminds me of the old P car but its better in many ways.

My first one was a 99 355 f1 spider. It is cool to try the 6 speed out. The f1 was amazing but it is a different experience with a clutch pedal. I could never replicate the shift speed that the f1 does in SPORT mode, that I will miss.

    Found this website...

    Ferrari F355

    It quotes:

"This 1996 F355 (2.7 Motronic ECU) is specially different to the other later F355 (5.2 Motronic ECU), it is half mechanical and half computer machine which produces a brutal power to get 1/4 mile in 12.7 sec rather than the later F355 13.2 sec. The later F355 is designed to meet the new EC regulation to cut down the emissions; therefore the power has been massively reduced"

I think my car is actually a 96 build, do the euro cars have more horsepower than the north americans? I always thought 2.7 was for 95 only..

    Any insight is appreciated.

I recently drove a 997TT and it was fast but I have always preferred the styling on the F355 so I am shopping for my first.

My last couple toy's were an LS3 swapped 3rd Gen RX-7 and a Ducati Superbike.
I sold them to buy something else. Finding the right car may take a while.
Would love to catch up at a local cars and coffee.
Here is my last car. It wasn't perfect either :)

Here are some pics of your car when I drove it about three weeks ago at a repair shop in Stockton, NJ. At the time I drove it the speedometer was not working at all. The owner told me the water damage in the car was from the GTS roof being left off but that didn't explain the obvious rust on the floor in the trunk.

I do not think that is a challenge exhaust but I could be wrong.

I hope some of this stuff was factored into your purchase price.

    Good luck with your car.
