New 355 spider owner, what engine and gearbox oil do you use?

Not trying to revive a well beaten horse here or go into drawn out technical drama, I am a new owner to a 1997 f355 spider, 32,00 km (20,000 miles) on it.
I just want to know what brand and weight people are using in the engine and gearbox oils.
I live in north central British Columbia, Canada, so have moderate to some hot summertime temps, maybe the odd road trip a little further south.
I'd just like input and form my own consensus of the most common oils used, and readily available at average retail stores.
As well, oil filter being used.

have read and read what I can find here, and am leaning toward the Rotella T-6 and Redline gear oil.
I have used the Rotella T-6 in my modified Kawasaki ZX1400 Ninja, and was very pleased with it.
The Redline sounds inviting. just all the various split comments on the second gear change issue,does the Mobil 1 work generally better, I'm not sure. I know many cars come from factory with Mobil 1, so it's a crap shoot or individual experience, gearbox situations.

Yes, just waiting for it to be trucked across Canada here, should be home safe in a week or two.
Gives me time to move a few cars around in the shop, and another 3 months to go through it, detailing, fluid changes, not that it needs anything (that way I know whats in there for sure!)
