In regards to making a high body into a low body, the body dimensions are different not just the suspension height.

I believe these are correct from a past post.

Different door size by 2" length wise
    Different lower rocker by 1.5"
    Lower rocker to roof 2.5"

We've been through this before. You CAN make a highbody a lowbody......by completely ripping apart the body and upper frame :)

They are completely different cars from the rocker up.
Here, a red 85 and a blue 78. This was a quick measurement. We did plan to use seamstress tape and go around the car in several areas. Maybe one day we will get to it.

Years ago, the previous owner of 1038 and I made several measurements at different points on our respective cars and came up with the same conclusion.

A couple of years ago, I was able to sit in a real low body at an event in Billings, Montana.
David A. had brought his beautiful LP 400s from Colorado to the event We discussed the height differences between the QV and the low body and David was gracious enough to allow me to sit in the car.

I can confirm that the cockpit is definitely a tighter fit. The roof is lower relative to the seat height and the floor did not seem to have as much drop as my QV. The opportunity to sit in the low body was a rare and special treat. I spent the rest of the day with a massive smile on my face.

    Thank you David.

    No problem.

One of the great things about this thread is the sharing of information and knowledge between enthusiasts.

I see that the language barrier has been surmounted and we understand each other now.

I am familiar with this car through the internet, and have several photos of it in my collection. I think it looks fantastic in this configuration myself.

Thank you for posting the video, I have an evil addiction to these videos of Japanese Countach gatherings and a new one I haven't seen before makes my day!

I was told by the person that shot this picture....this black Countach went down the assembly line, was fully completed (LHD), then partially disassembled to make it right hand drive (RHD)....crazy

all these 3x one off have been saved, the Urraco & Espada belong to Tonino Lamborghini private Museum at Funo, accessible to Public.

The one in the middle, 350 GTV, belongs to private collector in Europe who "rarely" shows it in an event...

Knowing he is reading and his friends too, I'm taking the opportunity to advise him to open a Museum, for instance like Bob Forstner has done in Stuggart or the factory at Sant'Agata Bolognese... in order to allow the Lamborghini Community to access such nice collection instead of keeping his jewels hidden.

WOWWWZA. Is it a sin if I said I actually prefer this look to a S1??? Those mirrors and that stance and those wheels complete the look. Wild.

+1 for that top photo being the best Countach picture in this entire thread.

As if there was ANY argument that it is the quintessential exotic.

Thanks for posting. Never seen that first picture, car looks really cool in it. Ditch the wheels though......that color, that angle with Bravos would look incredible.

Technically anything with a Periscope roof is an LP400 (the 2 Wolf cars 1120148 & 1120202, the Silvera car 1120222, the Spazzapan car in San Diego etc etc).

The only standard production LP400S S1 that came off the 'line with a Periscope roof is 1121030.

Thanks for confirming Raymond, okay, I know the car.

I noticed it has a polished shift-gate, I'm not certain this is a factory application or not. It used to have a wing (you can see the bolt-hole covers on the rear trunk-lid in these old images) but it looks so much better without! In the images on the Motorway, you can see that the trunk-lid has been refinished.
