    How long is that shank?

It looks perfect, as long as it's not too long. My key shank is 25mm long from the stepped should edge to the end of the shank.

If it's around that, it should be fine.

Fwiw, some of the guys on the 308/328 board are discussing reproducing the 328 folding key blanks. I have no idea whether the 328 and 348 folding keys are the same, but they look very similar. If anyone is interested, it might be worthwhile to head over there and express some interest.

That has basically been the story I have heard since I got my 348 3 years ago. Still not convinced that it is the reason but I guess until a better reason comes up it will do.

Did the 348 have a red key that looks like an enzo key?

No. Not originally from the factory but the same key blade was used on 348, 355, 360, 430, Enzo and others so if you get a blank from any of those cars you can have it cut for yours but no it did not exist when the 348 was built. The folding key was the coolest thing in existence.

Just go to a Ferrari dealer and order one! That's what I did for my 348 spider, got a new one from the factory.

And how much did you pay for your key?

If you read the whole thread then you'll find out that the OP doesn't want to pay the Ferrari dealer prices for a key as he thinks it's too much money.
