It's been driven less than 20 miles in a decade; I, too, would be concerned.

Each to their own but like i've said many times before, as a buyer I'd personally take the low miles and nice body and interior rather than high miles, rough interior and war torn body. A few seals/belts etc are easily corrected, a very used looking interior for an F car isn't.

Seals, belts, electrics, bushes, dampers, joints? Not moving protects aesthetics but really kills what a car truly is: a driving machine.

If it has done only 20 miles in the last decade then if I was buying it I'd plan on either never driving it (and what's the point of that?), or doing a complete mechanical overhaul/restoration before doing so.

Beautiful spec, but that car has been abused by being left immobile. :(

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I know what the PO did with it... he went out to his garage, turned the car on and turned the stereo up really loud, closed his eyes and imagined he was driving.

hey at least for $125k you get the original feel of the sticky parts. These guys are out of their minds IMHO.

Exactly what I was thinking. At 4x price of a driver it better be a condition #1 show winner and be exactly as it came from the factory.

    That's funny.

Point is, it's happening. The pricing for nice 348s is trending up.

I paid the correct market price plus broker premium in late 2012 for my 95 348 Spider that only has 6K on the clock today and is in concours condition. It came out of a private collection in Scottsdale, AZ and in its condition I wouldn't take a penny less than $100k today.

    Crazy? Not anymore....

I can't understand how Marshall Goldman always seems to get these amazing low mileage Ferraris. Where do they find them?

You just can't replicate that low miles interior. Good to hear prices are on the up, about time.

    Hi Andrew.

I'd argue Andrew is right. I bought a 'driver' (which I drive, obviously) and got her up to spec. It can be done and more and more over here in the UK are being 'tarted up' a bit.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjDY152BZXY

Currently has a Nouvalari Supersport exhaust with high flow cats but comes with her original exhaust and cats. Also comes with everything to have an updated interior (momo race, drilled pedals, silver 'bling' bits etc) or all the original bits (some replaced for new as the real originals were 'tired'). Like the shields although not strictly speaking original - they're Yoshis. Has a colour coded targa but comes with an original 'as new' black plastic targa as well as a legit Ferrari foldable roof (used briefly once, got it new in it's original packaging). Recently had a full engine out belt change at a main dealer. Kept in a dehumidified carcoon in a heated garage.

I'd argue the only difference between my car and that one is the mileage number on the dash...... and the money I'd get for a sale. That and mine's had all the surfaces de-stickied and redone.

So, what should I be asking for her? You still in the market Andrew? :)

I agree. You can tell the difference between a dye job or even one that has been reupholstered from an original.

You can definitely tell with a dye job, reupholstering it depends. My main dealer has been known to send seats out to Italy and get them reupholstered by the guys who did it originally. If you can tell at that point you've got a better eye than me.

With mine you can tell - I had all the stitching exactly replicated but the interior is originally largely vinyl (black bits are mostly made from vinyl) so when I had it retrimmed I replaced the lot with leather from the guys who supply Aston Martin, much higher grade than what was in there before and that shows. I'd lose some points in the concours for using finest Scottish leather where it should be plastic but I think I can live with that :)

:D You'd have to be crazy to ever part with that car. ;)

I'm afraid I never entered the market in the first place, as my finances won't enable me to buy for another few years yet. I do know I really want a 348, but I'll have to live vicariously through you guys for just a little while longer. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Thanks Pete, that's very kind of you to offer. :D

$3.26 exactly. You should sell it to me, I'm a pathetic negotiator and will pay you at least ten times that. ;)

    Seriously, that's a great-looking 348.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    Thanks Andrew!
My bible of automotive magazines "EVO issue 163" rated the 348 the most memorable of all the V-8 Ferraris they tested from the 308 to the 458 so I think the public may be catching on

Nothing short of spectacular. For my money "if" that one is worth $125k then yours is more. But I'm not impressed with a low odometer like many.
