Any opinions on yellow brake calipers on Rosso Corsa cars? Desirable, or, a hindrance to resale?
I love the yellow brakes as I think it compliments the shields and gives a more sporty/racing look. I can't comment on resale but either way it would not be a deal breaker if I liked the rest of the car.
Yellow brakes look great on a black on black car because it highlights the center caps, shields, and tachometer all of which are yellow. If the car has yellow stitching that ties everything together. I think for red car I'd say red calipers, red stitching and red tachometer.
I think yellow calipers look awesome against a red car... Especially Big ones Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gino- Thanks, but they are 360/F430 Novitec NF-2s, already sold to a 456M owner. Here are the new ones. Image Unavailable, Please Login
there's no way big yellow calipers look as good on Rosso as they do on Nero...everyone knows you don't put Ketchup AND Mustard on a hotdog! hahaha Here's a pic of yellow CCB on Nero. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer the red calipers on the red car. Yellow calipers look great on any other, especially blue or black. On a red car it tends to give it a McDonalds look....just my opinion.
I agree it's that clashing of two very bright colors. Both are strong warm colors and both compete for attention. Whereas on a darker color (like Nero or TDF blue) the primary color is dark so it lets the brightness of the accents really pop! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think yellow is too bright a color for calipers in general, the exception being on a yellow car. They tend to draw the eye to the caliper and take attention away from the car itself. I like red calipers on both black and red cars. As to the OP's original question, I don't think they affect resale one way or the other. It's your car....yours is the only opinion that matters.
^^^ hey if they are big pretty carbon ceramic stoppers....why not draw the eyes to those big brakes by having a set of yellow calipers! I do think that if you're going to draw attention to your brakes with a loud color they should at least be something substantial.
