Just re watched the Top Gear episode featuring the F12. Clarkson compared driving the F12 being like having several tennis ball machines firing balls at you to return all at the same time. 458 is like one ball at a time.

Around town at 20 mph with bumpy road on just a nice docile and civilized car. In the twisties it becomes a handful...the twisties the bigger the handful. (a different Top Gear episode)

He also said the F12 HAS TOO MUCH POWER. LOL

if I may say it, Clarkson has been known to exaggerate. Really. :D

Yes. About half of all auto journalists point out the cars' dual personality. Most actually do utter the words you posted or "it's likely too much car for anyone", or as Chris H. says: "there's nothing the world needs less and nothing in the world he wants more". He also said early on into the test that after this he wouldn't even look at an Aventador.

Driving the F12 things do come at you like those tennis balls. The acceleration is so immediate and wonderful and the sound so glorious that nothing even comes close. Even if I have been known to exaggerate!

I drove one at the Ferrari DE at COTA. IMO its a much harder car to drive quickly than the 458. The pro's agreed as well. It's like riding a superbike, you just have to control your right foot in this case. Not a great car for someone who does not know their limitations.

Looks are subjective but I think its a great looking car. I may obtain one in the next year or two.

Hey, I remember you. Your that GTR racerboy that got banned for your caustic posts. I see your still at it. You might want to tone it down a bit and offer some kind of useful post. There are other ways to get your point across.

    Remember this:

Strikes me that the F12 is a true driver's car. Like the F40 with its power, turbo lag, no ABS will bite you if you are not a very accomplished driver. Or like the old Porsche turbos before the nannies kept the rear end from coming around.

Very rewarding cars for those who have developed the skills to master the ride. Most cannot do it...myself included.
