I'm pretty sure most of us are way past being shocked by prices for anything Ferrari...the world of $300 shift knobs, $160 bearings, $1500 shocks...might as well just call my car "The Shocker!"

Actually, I'm still frequently shocked...never mind!

    Ciao!

Sorry. They had the part listed not long ago.

Algar had amazing prices though. $25 for the nos radio cover and an incredible deal on a nos rear bumper. And kevin the parts service rep has great knowledge of our cars.

This is the part number that you need to recover the panel in the original vinyl material. Looks much better that a radio delete in my opinion.

This is a repro cover made by someone in UK for £35. I've put this on my car and the vinyl looks really close to the original dash vinyl. You can find it on eBay still.

I believe they were Pioneers. In the parts books there is just a part #.

FNA chose not to offer radios hence no option one way or the other.
The radio was an option in other markets. It is clearly shown in parts books with a part #.

Does anyone have the dimensions for this plate as well as placement & size of the bolts? I have some spare black vinyl and was going to see if I could fabricate one.

I thought I'd seen a thread in the past which gave this information, but haven't been able to find.

    Cheers.

There were at least 2 styles of blanking plates and we have three different cars (not counting the 208 Series): 308s, QVs and 328s.

One style was flat with no lip on any side (Post #6-7) and the other was flat with a VERY Noticeable lip on one side (Post 11).

Which style of plate went in which car(s)?

308 ones have the lip. Mondial and 328 ones are just flat.

Interesting tech tidbit, radio tuners for europe are different then usa, difference in the broadcast frequency steps, that means distortion for a tuner not optimized for it's market, probably why NA said no radios.
    Europe 50khz steps
    Usa 200khz steps

YEP. Back then with the new digital tuning you had to 'fix' your radio to get it to work properly on the other side of the pond. Analog didn't have the problem obviously.

Good luck finding one. Originals have astronomical price tags if you can even find one. There were reproduction ones on eBay and I think Greg got the last one. Hopefully the guy who made them in UK would make some more.
