I just bought a 96 spider 6spd, with the same mileage. For a little more money. Just had a major, new clutch, leather on dash and seats perfect, bumpers resprayed, Tubi. Top in good shape, both seat potentiometers replaced, Needs some stickies fixed, windows and top very slow but overall a very nice driver and nice condition for a 20 yo car. Compression numbers were very good and consistent.

Sounds like the car is fairly priced. Do as much research as you can, then pull the trigger....I cant get the grin off of my face!

    Hi Michael,

The F355 is the best looking Ferrari in my opinion as well. It is my dream car and I enjoy owning it, driving it, fixing it and talking about it with fellow enthusiasts. The OP does want a beautiful one, like they all are. The issue that he has, as well as me and other that didn't bother to post is you didn't just tell him where it is. As I stated, you have come across as a used car salesman to not only me, but the person you are "trying to help". If you aren't, then stop trying to sell him the car. He knows what he is looking for and as many who have bought Ferrari's know you don't deal with people who try to sell you on a Ferrari. That isn't how it works. The car sells itself or it doesn't.

I don't know who can afford an F40, but it isn't me. If you want to talk about the F355 you are more than welcome to here.

    Steve

Eh, I spent all my cash on new floor mats for the F355 so I could only afford a xbox360. I'll also throw in some 18 year old F355 floor mats to sweeten the deal.

I don't know this Michael Craig, but I do know a few of the crew at Classic Coach.
Frank's the owner. Very nice guy. Carlos is a top mechanic and Rocco a great manager.
Don't hesitate to deal with them. I've had my car serviced there.

Is there a place to search production numbers of 355 years and color combos?

just curious how many 1995 red/tan 355 spider 3 pedals were made...

First, congratulations... I own a red/tan 6 speed spider as well (1997). Mine was $47k, and the dealer I dealt with appeared on the up and up.... However, along the way someone did some shady stuff... they pulled the CEL light, so that it would not illuminate... I should have caught that, but didn't, there were other minor issues with the car dislcosed, but I was easily able to drive it 400 miles home and didn't think much of it.

Do yourself a favor and if it has already not been done, have a leak down test done, remove the headers and borescope the primary tubes to make sure that they are intact (I know one was replaced, trust but verify). You may not see anything initially wrong with the car at the moment, but the fact is that the cats were bad, someone ran it like that, and if you have the bronze valve guides you may have to replace them in the near future (perhaps hidden by new valve seals to prevent oil ingestion).

Ask me how I know... LOL. It's not going to be a cheap date when I pull the heads and have them redone properly. I got stuck with the bronze guides, and they are worn, they need replacing (but will last another 6 months until I return to CA). I, as a result, drive my car very kindly, avoid taking it much above 4k RPM while I wait to get the heads done stateside... Mind you, she'll rip all the way to 8,500, but will pull oil into #2 cylinder and eventually foul the plug.

I live on Guam, so the opportunity to wind the car out to 8,500 is limited anyway!

thanks for looking out. Everything has been checked by an independent Ferrari mechanic here in Atlanta. Compression is good. Belts have been done. Fluids about 2 months ago. New clutch and flywheel. I have been provided all service records and everything seems good to go (for now)...the only thing it needs mechanically at thi point is breaks and i should be receiving bit sets of rotors and pads on Monday. Top is a little slow but I'm workin order (I'll be converting to manual anyway). Drivers side door sill is rusty so those will soon be replaced.

As for now, I'm going to drive it an not worry about "could" happen
