Good to hear. I believe the misfiring is due to them running very minimal ERS at the moment this less cylinder filling during partial throttle events (ie turbo lag) which would otherwise be compensated for via the shaft motor spooling the turbo. These power units are designed to operate as a while so when a key component is dialed down some things don't run as they should. Just conjecture.
Final times from day one..... OK, it's only day one, but I'd much rather be in Sebs shoes than Fred's right now..... Still seems like Honda are in a world of hurt..... Fauxtus should be running tomorrow apparently. Cheers, Ian
It's early, but seeing both Ferrari-powered cars at the top of the list gives us some hope for the power unit.
Wow. Nice day for Rosberg and Mercedes. Although not fastest that simply doesnt matter. Cannot wait to see the report from Ted on SKY tonight. Ferrari seemed good and it was good last year on day 1 as well. Hopefully a step forward. No idea how to analyze Mclaren just yet. Nice to see F1 is back!!
Not a bad first day for all the teams - but not McHonda. Too early to tell true relative performance but at least we are up and running and the cars look so much better than last year. How many teams are confirmed for this year? Who else is left to test?
Every single year Ferrari start strong, everybody claps their hands and slowly but surely the competition starts to show their pace and we go backwards.
Hond a wil l be a epic fail going to be great watching Fred and uncle ron fighting over who's first to the press room . Button Is going to work his butt off he is much stronger than kimi . Impo Kimi is a way better wheel man than button but lacks the determination And will of a f1 driver
