Speciale on much stickier tires, so the difference is larger than that.

We have tire specs on the 488 already? I don't know if the 488 is wider than the 458 or not, but turbo cars usually are. If they are going to put on stickier or wider tires, i would assume it would be put on the torquer turboed car.

    Exterior design
"Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the new 488 GTB features very sculptural flanks which are the key to its character. Its large signature air intake scallop is a nod to the original 308 GTB and is divided into two sections by a splitter. The wide front spoiler features a double profile to improve the thermal efficiency of the radiators positioned at the sides. At the centre two pylons are combined with a deflector which channels air towards the flat underbody. The broad, low tail is also dominated by aerodynamic solutions, including an innovative blown spoiler which generates downforce without increasing drag. This works in conjunction with an aggressive ramp angle for the diffuser which features active flaps. The greater height required for the diffuser was achieved by repositioning the exhaust tailpipes. The circular LED tail lights have also been redesigned."

Looks like radiators were moved to the front. That's what I would do if I was considering turboing a 355. Position radiator/s in the front. Position intercoolers right at the large side intakes behind the door.

I don't see any "nod to the 308" with the air vents except for their general location...

I'm sure it will be a nice car but it is not as pretty as the one it is replacing or the 308 it is trying to brand from.

    I like it.

The F355 has the best looking side air vent in the entire Ferrari line-up...period. What the 488 did was butcher some air vents in for the sole purpose of cooling the intercoolers, which is exactly what Porsche does. It is not surprising the vent looks like a Porsche vent.

Honestly, I like the 488, that said, I'll keep my 355 and turbocharge it if I really feel the need to go faster. :) I would still opt for the 458 over the 488.

There are maybe a handful of Ferrari's I don't find super attractive.
Kinda like choosing the best looking girl out of a room full of supermodels.
Pictures are two dimensional. Walking around these beauties forms a true opinion.
That being said we only have the 2D version to look at right now.
The F355 checks a lot of boxes for many people. Being better looking than the 488 maybe a stretch.
