I'd keep the e39 m5 and 355 and sell the rest. I'd have an e39 m5 myself but I need the extra room in my e38 sport (2 kids and a dog).
I think it's a smart move, 355's are dead money. Do u have correct wheels? and please PM me your best price.
I used to see a member that had 3 512m's in his garage, all different colors - I thought he was a fool - "3 of those fugly looking 512tr's with a bad body kit on them"? He's not a fool today is he I'm also in no way saying someone selling a 355 is a fool, price appreciation may never happen, but I do think of that every time u see an M for 375k +. Sounds like OP has a sound reason and a smart reason for selling.
Best piece of advice you're ever gonna get, Brendan. Keep it for God's sake!!! One of the most striking 355s I've ever seen. Kind regards, Nuno.
While I dont want to see my 355's Giallo cousin go... only you know what the right decision is. But... come on... look at how perfectly proportioned an F355 is next to more contemporary metal.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you everyone for the positive feedback! I don't need to sell the car and it is my dream car (besides an F40) so I will probably hold on to it. Maybe the winter blues are just getting the best of me, and I need to commit more time to enjoying the car this spring. Another thing to consider is that my house only has a carport, so I keep the F355 in an offsite garage. So basically I don't even get to see it but a few times a year. Part of my motivation for selling would be to upgrade to a house with a large garage, but then what is the point with no Ferrari... Regarding the BMWs, I will never sell my e28 or e30. I've had the e28 since I was a teenager and the e30 is my other dream car. I've spent loads of money and countless hours restoring both so I can never sell them. They may not be low production cars like the F355, but they're even harder to find in good condition. The e39 M5 however, I'm not so attached to. Yeah yeah, I know first world problems.... not enough time for my Ferrari, 3 BMWs and boat lol.
I could understand the living situation and how not being near it would have an impact. I was a bimmer enthusiast before I got into P-Cars and now into my 348. To name a few E39, E38, E53, 3 E30's, E36 M3, E46 M3. My prize possession was a 1991 E30 M-Technic II (the other E30 was a 92 Mtech Appearance package). Only 700 made and 170 in Brilliant Rot. Definitely rarer than an E30 M3. Had it for two years, do I regret selling it? Ehh not really hehe Keep the F355 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does the car come with the piece of Holyfield's ear Tyson bit off? Do NOT sell the car. You have far too much time, love, and money in it. You did everything on that car exactly right, with no shortcuts taken.
Been there...still there... Looking at 2 feet of snow out my window now. With new tires just put on the 19" HRE's today, sitting on the rack waitin' until about May.
Beautiful BMW Ragin Bull! The BMW must be a path to the Fcar. I have owned tons of BMWS over the years as well. We did some grey market importing back in the late 80's and that is when I started to learn how they worked. I have turned just about every bolt on them. I currently have an e36 5spd vert m3. Great condition with very low miles. Fun car. It is the go to spare for the family. I had a mint e28 m5 with only 53K miles on it. It was one I really wanted to keep. Then, I drove an e39 m5. Just had to have it. Sold the e28 and another 525 wagon and got the M5. Now an Fcar. What next?
That's gorgeous! Nice e30s are going up in value. Have you seen the e30 m3 market the past year?! Here is my 91 318is, only made for 1 year with the dohc M42 engine. Yes, those are C4 corvette wheels mounted with custom adapters. This is my "boy racer" car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And here is my e28 that I've owned since I was a teenager in college. It has a stroker M20 engine hand built by me, custom suspension, and full M5 interior and body panels. I've driven this car to Canada, Miami, any weather condition, and it just loves every moment. This is my nostalgic car. And of couse the E39 M5. Another work horse with 400hp+ and heated seats, navi, leather everything, Dinan S1 suspension, and a perfect highway cruiser. Just finished a TON of maintenance on this bad boy! With the Tubi midpipe and muffler delete it sounds so crazy! Thanks emac! Bimmers are no doubt the gateway drug . Sounds like you had nice collection, would love to pick up an E36 M3 vert someday Beautiful! The wheels look awesome, very different. Put together very well. Nice work! very nice, I'm looking to get an E39 M5 soon to be a DD. Got to fight tooth and nail with the wife to get it though..not a battle I want to have anytime soon
Your car is one of the 355's that got me interested in ownership. Specifically the photo of it on the highway. Do you have pics of the interior? If you're serious about selling please PM me a price. I'm not sure I'm sold on the yellow...but the car is pretty much perfect otherwise.
This is the only interior picture I have at the moment. The dash leather is starting to shrink a bit but it hasn't bothered me enough yet to fix it yet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
