The CMC models are not the same as the BBR, they are completely different TR's. CMC only made pontoon fender customer cars. And..... the CMC models replicate restored cars - they all have some inaccurate modern details.

The BBR piece is a factory team car, and also the 1958 Le Mans winner. BBR models are not perfect either, but this one is probably more historically accurate overall to the real car it replicates than any of the CMC models

The CMC models are much more detailed, and sell for about the same price, but they don't make this style of Testa Rossa. So... as to which is better; it all depends on what a collector wants.

Is it just me, or are the numbers too small?
The white backgrounds seem to be the right side, but the numbers themselves seem too small when compared to period photographs.

Charles, yes..... you are correct. The numbers are a little small, not terrible, but certainly noticeable when compared to period photographs.

I really wanted to skip the pre-order of this one... but... LeMans.

It'll look stunning on the shelf next to the CMC pontoon fender (the Drogo car)

Roy, the CMC and BBR models should look really great when displayed together. Maybe when you have both, you could post a couple of photos?

Certainly... I'll make sure and include a pic with the very old, Bburago 57TR, too. Will look positively comical next to the CMC and BBR, I'm sure :)
