Hi Alberto, yes, you are absolutely in great state of health. My toy-/playroom. Not all 308 related but I'm running out of room. Best Regards Martin Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sick, you guys are all sick. I keep my Ferrari eraser out of sight; afraid that someone will attempt to use it. They don't know that it is only for show. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Absolutely ! Except, that I didn't experience any of the symptoms he quoted. I seem to be immune, so can go on Best Regards Martin

Well, for the past xxxx years I have acquired all sorts of British Car stuff, having owned.raced/restored so many of the beasties...but then I seriously ovrrreached myself with the nearly 8 year restoration of a Series 1 E-Type Jaguar coupe I should never have bought in the first place... capping it all off when nearly finished I found I couldn't drive it; too cramped, and no way to fix it, due to the fixed roof (my 3 other E-Types have all been roadsters!). Anyway as soon as I finished it I decided to sell it, which meant looking around for another nice sports car for myself. Throwing caution to the winds, I started running across ads, etc. for the 308's; especially interesting were the prices, a mere fraction of what I by now had in the Jag, which I couldn't even fit into (I'm 6'-5")! In the meantime, I've long been a fan of F1 racing, and of course had most recently been following Kimi in the Lotus (I used to race Elans in SCCA, but had sold the last of the 5 I'd owned at one time or another some years before...). Well, in December of 2013 I found a very nice 328 in Redwood city (near San Francisco, about a 1 1/2 hour drive from my home in Monterey) so I went up, drove it, and wound up buying it. Well. What to do about following Kimi & Lotus, which by now he'd had issues with and signed on for Ferrari...!!! No choice, of course: at this point I had to buy a nice, big bright Ferrari flag & hang it from the balcony railing above my living room, where I watch F1 racing! Other Ferrari-related stuff... a keyfob, a small enameled plaque, and of course an Italian dictionary, my knowledge of that language having been sadly neglected during my occasional study of various languages. So here it is... I'm ready for Kimi & la Scuderia, now... Cheers, Rich Image Unavailable, Please Login
The painting is by California-based car designer and artist, Mike Kim. PM me if you want his details.
I purchased three radios for my 308 GTB: I installed the best of those three, kept the second rank as a backup and sold the worst to an American with a V6 wooden 308 GTB... ciao
Hi Alberto and Oengus, Would you both shine a light on the story behind that 'wooden V6 308' ? Alberto; I can't find the original thread any more when we talked about our late cars. But recently when looking at your car once more it attracted my attention, that we do not only have the same steering wheel and cigarette lighter but also the same mirrors. ( except that yours have the small cavallino badges and mine do not ) Amazing, that both our cars don't have the Californian mirrors. Did one of your pre owners coincidentally replace the original mirrors with the same ones like mine did ? Or do we have another originality topic to discuss here ? Best Regards Martin
Martin, I just removed yesterday the 328 mirrors, as they were istalled by the former owner: he confimrd me that. Our cars in origin had the single left Californian Vitaloni mirror. But I installed also the right Vitaloni Californian, as i want to see behind on the right side too. Oengus 308 GTB has a Fiero V6 engine, a ****ty radio (mine), a pinewood hub, just three wheels and the oil sump is into the passenger seat... ciao
Alberto, My wife and me just had the laugh of the week ) BTW! Regarding the mirrors. I'm brainwashed in originality and ordered a pair of Vitaloni Californian today. Best Regards Martin
Just wasted money on this (PDF of this manual be found online)....Searched for it for more than 4 years ran into it by luck and it wasn't too expensive: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a Ferrari hat that a friend gave me after he got out of owning Ferraris but I have never worn it. The only other Ferrari item I own is the 328. I DO wear a Norton Commando T-Shirt on occasion but that's the only vehicle I advertise.
Nothing stupid, some books, magazines, a hat, a shirt and a door mat. Maybe the door mat is stupid....but I will own this shirt some day. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I need only 2 but for they were sold in a lot 8. Prepping my 328 for future concours when I have more time to prep the car. Waste money on the other 6 ($5 per sparkplug) Image Unavailable, Please Login
