Just my two bits worth here. I had a similar car, black/black with 15,000 miles in mint condition. It was also due for the major service and the best I could get for it was to trade it in on a new car and got $45k in trade value. the dealer spent $8,500 for the belt service and it then took over a year to sell in the high fifties. They didn't make much money.

for me I netted $49k with the sales tax money I saved, so a good deal for me.

this car is probably really worth around $45-$47k as it needs the service. This assume all else is working properly, no warning lights, top works etc.

How long ago did you trade it in Mike? $50k seems like the current bottom price for a clean, normal mileage spider.

Are you thinking of Roy Cats of Cats Exotics?

If so, no they were unsuccessful. I traded it to MB of Lynnwood and they "dumped" it to Doug's Cadillac in shoreline where it sat for over a year until it sold.

Ah, yes. Now I remember it all. Looked pretty clean. I'm not saying prices are increasing heavily but I think things have firmed up in the F355 market since then. I'd say that car would sell in a month now at what they/you were asking at the time.

the car was in amazing condition and had been serviced by FOS it's entire life.
After I paid over $13K for a major in 2010 I grew tired of dealing with them and their "nickle and diming" me "to death".

Miss the car, but I do like the Mercedes - of course two completely different cars.

The prior owner of my car had FoS servicing it from 2007 until 2011 when I bought it. I'd say his experience was on par with yours based on the stacks of "service" records I have.

You know, when Mark (service mgr) treats customers in a disrespectful way, they may sell their cars like I did and then FOS loses that customer and future service money.
I don't think they care as most of their customers are multimillionaires and are not price sensitive at all.
I remember when I went their early on I seemed to see customers that were very pissed off - now I know why.

Agreed. I went in there to inquire if they could loosen my steering wheel hub on my 308 so I could put on a new wheel. They said they'd charge me $170. Hourly rate. Dicks. Go to Roy's mechanic at Cat's. $90 an hour. Master mech for ferrari/Lamborghini
