I think these are to over-restored. It does not look like some Italian guy dropped them on the ground on the assembly line, and than picked them up and installed the scratched bolts/nuts into the car. So sorry, but value just went down and it is not as it left the factory. Might as well call the wrecker.
He was joking given the last few threads about restorations. He is also restoring a 308gtb in another thread just as you are.... Your project is coming along beautifully ! And looking very brand new to me
Yup you missed the joke! It's sarcasm from the people who say they are being "Over restored". Great job. I did a very similar thing to my GT4. Keep posting!
Glen just joking with you. It was my way of saying great job. I am going through the same thing. Keep it up and please do send pictures with updates. I though you down under people had a great sense of humour!
We do mate and im the worst one for it but it seams doing a car like this up people put it down no matter what and u start to lose your sense of humour im sorry for being a pin head and losing my s#@t hahhahahah
No worries. Look forward to your progress. I will send you a PM when I next post pictures of my update, so that you do not miss it, and you can critique the shinny new parts. Ciao mate.
Hi Uras, This all looks great. Question: do you plan on adding any heat shielding on the underside of parts in Post 29? I used B-Quiet on mine and it helped cut down the heat transferal tremendously.
And my shinny parts can be seen here : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/92998-1975-308-gt4-restoration-again.html
I personally am not going to add anything to this car. I believe it is over restored as it is. Plus I don't own it.....
The plating thing is interesting, I personally like the look of yellow chromate, the bugger here in the US is Cadmium is toxic and being regulated out of the plating industry. I now use a plating Co. that has contracts with aerospace where they still use it, I have to wait a bit longer for parts but it's worth it over zinc. How bright the finish is, is I think where some get picky. Who cares in reality, it's going to fade and oxidize over time anyway. Looks great, by the way.
Care to pass that companys name or is it just a secret? I have some stuff id like to get done rather than use zinc.

This is not over restored, it's restored to ''better than new'' Congrats! This is nice work. All those threads are putting pressure on me for my engine compartment.
Looks like you are moving fast, when are you expecting to have the car complete and back on the road ?
