My state by law requires front and back licence plates. For people with the same laws what do you use on the front of your 458

I just pay the occasional ticket here in CA.

I don't like the look of the front plate and just haven't found a mounting option that looks decent.

I just drive with no front plate. Only received 1 ticket in 6 years while parked in DC.

No front plate since 2008 on my 360, now 458. I'd rather take a chance on a ticket. Got pulled over once and the cop let me slide on the speeder and plate.

I have a policeman in the area that like to keep an eye out for nice cars that may break the law. Jealous maybe. Any more ideas on mounting a plate? If I do get caught not sure how many tickets they will allow me?

If i had to get one mounted i'd likely go with something like the Show N Go units available on amazon. They have electric models and Id be very tempted to keep mine stowed away until i got pulled over then id hit a button to display it. Not sure that plan will work but it would be my plan until i was given enough motivation to change it.

Another thing i thought about before was a european style plate from an aftermarket company. Not sure they are legal in all states but I think on some cars they do look better. I think the german cars typically look better with them rather than what we have here. Regardless, anything on the front of a 458 is gonna look bad at best. Id pay tickets until i ran out of money, personally... call it the price of owning the car like insurance and gas.

Absolute no no in Switzerland too. In the USA it varies by state. In New York you will get pulled over every time if you have New York plates. If you have plates from another state, they will generally not pull you over due the license plate. If you overtake them at 88 in a 30 zone, you will probably still get pulled over :)

Does your local PD have a charity or fundraiser?.... It never hurts to give some extra help to those who protect and serve.

I could easily fabricate a holder that would thread into the front row hook assembly. maybe there is one already designed and built.
Then you could remove the plate holder whenever you feel like it.

That's what I have. There's a company that produces them, do a Google "tow hook license plate" search. I used it on my Cali but it doesn't work on the Spider since if it's arranged medially, it blocks either the laser jammer or the right front parking sensor. If arranged laterally it looks bad. I leave it in the frunk, if I get pulled over I will say the car was recently detailed and the detailer removed the front plate and forget to put it back on. Rather have the Laser Interceptors fully unobstructed.

I have one of these plate clips for my 430. Unfortunately, the guy who made and sold these has passed away.
