This 348 spider was gorgeous. I might have considered it for purchase if we didn't have a different focus. One owner. It really did look brand new. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
The leather was really perfect. The seats were soft and comfortable. The top cover was very uniform. I can't say that about all 348's so this one gets a big thumbs up. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Outside was pretty blemish free. Only issue I noticed was slightly sticky console and door handles and a glove box door strut that would not keep the box open. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know where this is, I fell asleep for a couple hours in front of that tv many years ago after driving all night non-stop to this dealer to pick up my 355
So After 5 pages of nothing... And no car. Most know where I am so I'll reveal that I flew into Chicago and traveled north an hour to Lake Forest Sportscars. Many more interesting photos to go but I will let the group read the last page now early... To avoid any pitchforks and burning oil. My brother and I have purchased 111869. A '98 Factory Challenge car that competed in the '98 and '99 seasons as well as in 2000 to 2002 as a T1 class in SCCA. The car raced against "the" Paul Newman in both challenge and SCCA with Newman leading in the end. We are very pleased to take over where previous owners left off and plan for it to be a dedicated track car while we restore it and make it street legal - yes it has been done. We will put up a separate long write up during that process. This car is a great fit for us and beautiful in person. I'm not sure when the previous photos were taken but they absolutely did no justice to this car and it's condition. Although now Black. The car was delivered Pozzi Blu. There is the surprise and end of my search for a blue one. So lots of cool photos facts and figures. Hopefully we don't lose your interest now that you know which car we purchased. Exciting times for sure. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
My feels too. At least it saved me from typing Ferrari pictures into Google. Talk about a grab for attention....
It's a photo story about the trip. So others can ride along. I've already gotten 5 PM's about some of the cars shown that members are interested in and did not know about. So maybe it will help someone find a great car for them along the way. I assure you, I enjoy sharing but no ego here... Robb.
Congrats! What a great car! I want one badly, but not in the cards for me. I might have to emulate Eric and just buy the video game instead .
While I'm not a fan of the rear wing, I do like the carbon fiber there. I like the clean look of the earlier cars without the wing. But I've been told by drivers that they did notice a difference and it does help with stability although maybe not with downforce. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
The suspense made the reveal so much better! Thanks for taking the time Robb, and it was cool seeing all the models shot with your consistent look.
Nice story, it held my attention and I'm happy it all worked out for you and your brother. Congrats and best of luck!
The challenge car is really something to look at. We will be returning the car to its livery that raced in the challenge series back in '98 and '99 so the car will have a new look as we enjoy taking our time getting it right. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
In very good company. The previous owner traded this challenge toward a LaFerrari. Seems like a worthy upgrade. The group was doing a full body 3m application on a different LaFerrari in the bay next to ours. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the F355. The design held its own in the shop and showroom where there was much competition. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
