Anyone here have Recaro Pole Position in their car. I would love to see a pic in a 355 as I'm thinking about it for the 355. I just can't rational spending $7k for Ferrari cf seats.
    Thanks

They do look nice. I would buy them in leather. The recaros are reasonably priced actually.
    Thanks for the pic.

    Those are really nice seats
All I used to use were Recaros back in the 80's

Still have an office Recaro somewhere

Ive got leather pole positions in mine waiting to be installed. I'll be running the recaro side brackets with custom mounting plates.

Some valuable information in that thread. If you're 6 "4"... I think you bought the wrong car :).

The Recaro pole positions are the most comfortable bucket seats I have ever sat in. They are truely designed as a compromise between street and track use. That is why the bmw and porsche folks love them. It has a wide seat base for leg room. However, it doesn't hug you like a Recaro SPG would. Those would be more for a focused track use. Lotsof people daily with them though.

I also have a pair of Recaro TSG, which is basically a low profile SPG. I would recommend that over the SPG for the 355 if that is what youre in to.

There are some things you should know about these Recaros. I will make a detailed post on that later.

One thing I dislike about the factory seats is the seat places you a bit too high, although it has a low profile headrest. It sort of makes you look like a big guy driving a small car from the outside. I'm 5 "10" btw. The Pole Positions give a nice low profile seating that gives a more sporty concentrated feel. The headrest doesn't sit too high either (without sliders). Alot of bucket seats look a bit overwhelming in a 355. Particularly Challenge OMP seats. I think the Recaro PPs look just right to me.

Do the Pole Position seats give much lumbar support? I find the stock seats give me a lower back ache after an hour of driving.

The PP force you to have a better posture which prevents lower back ache. The Stock seats are **** and make you sit like a Gorilla.

I haven't driven my car in a year or driven the car with these seats to be able to comment. That's prob why I buy all sorts of stupid stuff fro the car to make myself feel better about not driving it.

You can purchase a special type of memory foam. I can't remember off the top of my head at the moment, but i did save the info somewhere. It was sbout $100-150 and you put it inside the seat. Most would use these on bucket seats though.

The Elise and Exige bucket seat is pretty much exactly the same in design. However, exige seats come with a thin memory foam body contouring material called, "Probax" and it makes all the difference in the world. The Elise seats are intolerable. The Exige seats, i can drive for 4-5 hours no problem. If youve ever seen exige seats, theres not much to them either.
