I just saw the strangest thing. A plane with two engines on one wing and one engine on the other being tailed by a fighter.

I think you mean a C-17 with two engines on each wing, one of which was obscured :) If an engine fell off, it probably wouldn't worry too much about the airshow promo flight before returning to base ;)

I suspect that is the case, but boy it was well and truly hidden.

I'll have to check and get back to you.

The Kiwi CAA & TAIC are pretty competent - I'd believe them too.

By coincidence, this W/E I have the unpleasant task of reviewing a draft ATSB report into a R44 crash that killed a friend of mine - and 3 others.

Would that not preclude you from proceedings Dave ?

I know you would be totally professional about cause and manner but I would have thought protocol would have prevented you from further grief ?

    Great pics!

    Thanks for posting.

Looks like some stuff that wasn't there last time I went.

    Very cool.

    Great pics!
That B-52 sure is funny-looking on approach:

Still, must be reassuring to have eight engines and flaps big enough to serve as wings on a small airliner ;)

    Nah.

Just means you're eight times more likely to have an engine failure.

    :)

LOL. Still, asymmetric thrust probably won't be a big issue ;)
