When you get the leather redone/replaced also replace/layer the foam cushions

 

Stiches on Highway 6. They are not cheap, and the place looks like a hole in the wall, but they do top notch work.

They may be in acceptable shape but I tend to believe ALL of our seat's padding hassuffered degradation over the years. Whether that's compression or loss of firmness.

Subjectively that foam is over 33 years old.

I'm not a "foamoligist" but I have to believe there is some loss.
