This is a good value for someone with the patience to deal with a smaller company, and the tooling/designs just changed hands as Jim pointed out. Issues will take longer to sort out, you will have to do a lot of shipping yourself, etc.

But $2200 coated, 321 S/S and 4-2-1 design that so many people swear is "better", value doesn't get better than this.

Another solid choice is the Ricambi headers made by JP exhausts--looks like those are completely re-tubed in T304 steel, and at $3000 they come with the OEM heat shields.

You want an established aftermarket product from a larger company with a broad product catalogue and fast turnaround time, and that can easily handle any after-sales issues and has their logistics all sorted out? Fabspeed.

Choices are good. Any better than these and we'll have to be talking Inconel......utter overkill for a luxurious road car.

Ken, if you called Zack and told him exactly what you wanted, I am sure they would probably be able to build it for you, just like Chris did for me. These guys could probably build anything you want. One thing I can tell you is don't put welded heat shields on if you want easy removal or installation. Chris and I discussed different ways to mount the shields(bolting them on, keeping a slight gap to let a little cool air in to cool the headers, but I really wanted to retain the OEM appearance so ended up welding them on. During the project we would discuss many different variations on what could be done.

What exhaust set up are you trying to build?

Yes, the company has changed hands, but is now owned by the fabricator who built my headers, and since building my set he has built others so the learning curve is over. If someone needed a set immediately then I would go with JP Exhausts or Tubi.

Here is a picture of what Zack is offering for ~$2200. 1 5/8" or 1.625" 321 s/s, ceramic coated. The only thing he is reusing is the cast flanges. All new tubing used throughout. He still would probably reattach the OEM heat shields if requested, but it is very time and labor intensive to make it look nice. These are for a 96-99 F355.

Tim, I believe the customer of that header wanted the option to remove the air rails.

Give him a call. I am sure he would be able to give you a pretty good time estimate.

I wonder if anyone is willing to run these coated, but without heat shield. Black isn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure it can grow on me.

Really love the look of open headers. It's a shame Ferrari has to cover it up to keep ambient temperature down.

Those look nice. They look similar to Tubi's with the shielding.
