My dealer and most dealers have already used up their allocations for the Speciale. I have tried to find an allocation but no luck. Does anybody know of a dealer in the states that has any allocations left? I am not interested in a used one.

    Thanks

I hear they are all spoken for in the USA. That's per two of the biggest US dealers I spoke to last week. It's possible you could get a new car that was spec'd by someone else if they back out which would mandate MSRP sale. Otherwise it's used at MSRP +

I'd be surprised if they were not all spoken for at this late date. With the Apertas on the line and the 488's starting in production soon, I wouldn't think that there'd be many more Speciales. The posts of new Speciales on that thread has slowed to a real trickle. Not many new cars posted lately at all. If you really want one, it might have to be a used one. The Speciale is a remarkable drive. Like a 458 on steroids.

Not particularly relevant but there are two allocations available in Singapore. At least there were when I stopped by the dealer last month plus they had one on the floor!! So it seems different strokes for different markets.

That is the problem to spend 60 to 75 over sticker is kind of crazy. I just do not want to go in that direction. I want to Spec the car out the way I want.

    Thanks However for your help

At this point in the game, the only way you'll find a new Speciale in the US is if a pre-existing order placed by someone falls out. Unless you have a buying history with the dealership in the aforementioned scenario, you can expect to pay well over MSRP. As I understand things from my dealer, all Speciale allocations are already spoken for. There simply are no open allocations left in the US. Buying a slightly used one, like the above poster indicated, is probably your best bet. You'll still have to unfortunately pay over MSRP though.

Your only hope is that by some miracle Ferrari extends the run a couple months or your dealer is awarded a few extra unexpected allocation spots. Good chances are though that any given dealer has a customer list already chopping at the bit to get a car.

As soon as the parts bins are empty that's when you'll stop see them.

Ferrari needs to unload all 458 specific parts as 488 ramp starts.

They will build extra Speciales if necessary.

At the end of any model run dealers will get 'magical' allocations. You can get one if you want one--this isn't a LaFerrari.

There are speciale in dealers outside us that are new or really low mileage, and cheap

I LOVE it! Anyone know if it's possible to import this into the US?

It's possible to import into the US, but it's more expensive than you might think.

The car will have to meet US specifications, and a Ferrari made for the Gulf will have Gulf specifications, not US specifications (speedometer and odometer in kph versus mph). US specifications may be higher than the local Gulf specifications, especially for emission issues.

Before importing, you'd have to deregister and find a "credible importer". Upon arrival in the US, the car has to be checked over by one of the designated approved mechanics and the car's specs must be upgraded to meet US specifications. On top of this would be shipping and degregistration/reregistration fees, not to mention import taxes.

Lastly, the Ferrari warranty would not cover the car if imported to the US. FNA is pretty strict about that for newer cars still under warranty.

In short, it will cost more money to ship a car to the US and have its specs converted than it would be to just buy the car in the US. Just my two cents.

A search within the 458 section will yield a few threads devoted to this subject. I recall them all coming to the same conclusion.

Heard from my dealer they are stopping speciale production early as they want to roll out the 488 quickly. Apparently order numbers are good and they want to pad their numbers for the IPO.

Was offered a speciale slot a few weeks back. I passed, but told 'em I'd take a SpecialeA.

    I'm not holding my breath.

I thought all the Speciale A have been allocated since each dealer already knows how many they are getting.
