I'll have to quote Jeremy Clarkson: "Criticizing car that looks to much like Aston Martin is like criticizing man that looks to much like Brad Pitt." ;)

^ This. It looks like a randomly computer-generated composite of a Scaglietti, a Viper and an SLS. Not much art here...

This porridge is a bit too cool. But it is tasteful and subdued, going against all of the modern edginess, purposeless sculpting, and muscle. It just lacks excitement.

This design has some very good elements to it. Proportions are great. There's some detail that seems odd in 2d though I'll bet this car is lovely in person

Thanks for posting the vid. After viewing I think I like its drama a bit more. And I would prefer a darker color to help things along.

Compare to Bentley's new "F12 competitor" concept, the Speed 6.

Yep, 612/456, worse things to be a mongel of ..
That and the Maranello were probably the last time Ferrari did "subtle or elegant".

I think this looks better than an F12 though lacking that cars Aero development I doubt it goes as well.

I'm not a fan of the agression of modern styling (though ferrari are better than most) but I can put up with it if it delivers performance advantage, if it doesn't and is just to look "aggresive" I think its a bit sad.

I Like vintage cars, but they have many practical drawbacks.
Classic but not overly retro, looks with modern usability does have an appeal.

I like it too! I think it is conservative, but that's not bad at all. If you saw this on the road drive past you, you would notice it, and probably not turn your nose away from it.

Still has that great engine too. Needs some ferrari badging though.

Reminds us a little of the 456, but much leaner. Nice wheels too :D

I'm a great admirer of Touring Superleggera. Their Disco Volante (Alfa 8C) is drop dead gorgeous and this revision is no exception. Too bad it's one of those "if money were no object" type of prospects. They are the only designer today that designs throwback cars were styling takes priority over everything else.

IMO the Berlinetta Lusso is more tasteful than anything Ferrari themselves have styled in the past decade. You might not like it as much as I do, but I really don't see how it could be considered vulgar.

Agreed. Although a little bit too conservative. You want vulgar take a look at the LaFerrari front...

Of course it's not vulgar. It's quite the opposite -- so tasteful it seems to lack excitement. A bit too cool perhaps. On the other hand I think the Disco Volante offered some excitement within the framework of a classic design. Still I applaud Touring's efforts to get us off of the excessive edges, sculpture, vents, and gills that characterize modern design, many of which really ARE vulgar.

Is the car sanctioned by Ferrari?.. There are no visible badges etc.. The disco volante was?.. As it had applied Alfa badges?..
