This is a bit of an update on the Copart Jalpa, the history is unravelling with thanks to Raymond who kicked it all off. I traced the seller and it turns out they bought a company with some Lamborghini's and Ferrari's stored in one of the units.
Now the bad news, the cars had been stored there by Richard Lukins. One lucky person got their Lamborghini Countach back minus engine but the owners could not be traced for the others including this Jalpa. It looks like Richard Lukins has sold off all the parts from this car so if anyone knows the whereabouts of the Jalpa V8 engine number L3353018 then I would be interested in it ?
For anyone interested there was also a 550 Maranello that was badly damaged but complete with engine and interior etc that some lucky person bought for just £400, yes you did read that right.

So it looks like he may have been stripping customers cars and selling them off in parts.

Any more information will be gratefully received as I would really like to put this Jalpa back together.

Time will tell if these new prices are real...

But I am still shocked to see the V8 Lambo prices double and then triple in the past 12-16 months. (according to asking prices)

Guys need some advice on Jalpa price. My friend is looking to buy one but may end up buying a pair. He always ask me what I think of this and that. The market is hard to guess right now. Both are project cars not running for some years. A 84 black on Tan and a 88 silver on red with Bravo wheels. Both need works, paint, one need a windshield. Only one of the spares, no Tools and probably no books. The 84 interior is savable but the red 88 not sure.

    What would you pay?

If he buy both he'll probably sell one right away.

  14. Tough call without more info & pictures. The non running Urraco sold on ebay in just a few hours for ~35k with the promise that it would be delivered to a port in a shipping container. The Bravos are worth a nice little chunk.

No matter how bad they are, are they Worth 50k each ? If complete. One of them will defenitely be a keeper for him. He wants to restore it himself over some time. No hurry, just want to secure a car for him soon before they get TOO high.

    What do you think?

From what I find prices are all over the place. From 50K to 200K. There is one here in Canada for around 75K cdn.

From what he told me he would keep the 88 and sell the 84or85?? I'm not sure which year. The 84 is cleaner and he would make it a runner to sell it. If he buy!

the issue with these cars is parts availability. any dumb little thing shows wear and its a few months of searching and cross referencing parts. id be weary about any electrical gremlins and missing parts. if he were to restore one, id probably keep the other for parts till the first one is 100% complete and running.

prices are indeed all over the place but i dont see non runners for sale often if ever. non running, probably 30-50k each depending on quality of what is there and what they require.

can you by chance get vin numbers for each vehicle so we can cross reference the registry?
