Hi, my first thread....but read a lot of useful information previously. The engine of my 355 (2.7) turns over on the starter, no problem, but won't fire up. Interestingly, when ignition key is turned on only the 'check engine 1-4' and 'slow down 1-4' warning lights come on (as usual). The 'check engine 5-8' and 'slow down 5-8' no longer do. Cannot be a coincidence with engine not starting?? Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks. John
Problem solved. For anyone else out there with the same problem. It was a faulty relay for the LH bank injector ECU (the relay is in the footwell relay/fuse bank). John
Good news Jaws. How did you troubleshoot it? FYI, if you had posted this in the 355 section it would have got a lot more eyeballs.
Had the same problem tryed relay but problem came back it end up being a weld cracked in the fuse box one of the pins that connects to the relay had to open it up and just reweld pin chased the problem all summer long
Thanks for the replies. Guess what.....the problem came back! And yes, I think its the same problem you had. If I wiggle the relay in its socket everything works again. How did you open up the fuse box? I've got it out of its housing (complete) but can't work out how to open it out to expose the pins. Cheers John
There is screws and it kind of clips together then it opens like a book your going to see the board is made of plastic sheets look very closely you will see the crack just reheat and melt it back together
