I need me a Mondi 3.2 in red / tan. I miss having my family driving with me (have a 308...can't wedge a wife and 2 kids in that!)... Car looks great!
If only I was so lucky, for now, I'll just drool and appreciate my Mondial even more... C H E E R S [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaAQW8lVaRM[/ame]
The lines on the La-F are amazing (as is the price). Makes you chuckle a bit when getting into our bargain F-cars huh?! Cheers, Greg
I turned the car in for a major plus a LOT of other work. I got the call that it was done a few weeks ago. After my annual February trip, I got the car back on Tuesday. It's never sounded or felt as good. It was 4 degrees at 4:30 when they dropped it off, up from -6 when I went to work. Today it warmed up to 15 after work, so I took it for a ride. Roads were dry, I sprayed the lower parts down with water to try to remove any salt when I was done. I was out for an hour and a half. Sorry if some of the pictures are blurry. It's hard to hold the phone still when your shivering in 15 degree weather. LET THE DRIVES BEGIN ! Oh, and speaking of the LaFerrari, this was in the service bay when I went for my car, along with a few friends. There was also an Enzo there but it was taken out the week before I was there. I didn't even have time to see what they had in the show room. I asked if I could take pics of the interior of the LaFerrari, and they said it wouldn't be possible because it was charging and I guess you can't run electric things like the doors while it's charging. You CA guys are very lucky, east coast guys are suffering the winter blues... Great photo Howie. Brian, good luck on the major, love the La F photo, what a sweeeeet car isn't it ! Cheers fellas -Mike
Hi Mike - Yeah, that LaFerrari was awesome. I sort of had my own private showing. They just had an unveiling that I could have paid big bucks for. This way I saw the car, saved some cash, and I didn't need to eat the shrimp and drink the champagne anyway. I got to see it up close with nobody around. The major is done, as is my a/c and the fog light that broke at Mondipalooza among other things. That's it coming home. I've already taken out on a few long drives. Cold but sunny with dry roads, and nobody out. Who's out driving in February if you don't have to? The good news is the cold spell has broken, the bad is I probably won't drive while it all thaws over the next few weeks. Too much crud on the road. But soon.
(Borrowed from my post in the "Ferraris in Snow" thread...) I decided to give my Mondial a bit of exercise early this morning, as it's been several weeks of it being indoors with all the snow we've had in NY this winter. The roads weren't too bad by me, so I figured let's give it a go and see how things work out. Started up the car, and all was well. Went with my 5 yr old son, riding co-pilot in the back, and ended up going for a 40 + mile excursion on the highway. Did some sightseeing at a nearby regional airport. The car was in a good mood, despite the sub-freezing temps. Got back home just as the first flakes began to fall. Now we have 4-6 inches of the white stuff on the ground. Back in the garage it goes, until who knows when. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can't imagine what is like living in the mid-west and east coast these days with all the snow, we are enjoying sunny weather in AZ and they say it will be up in the 80's next week. In the middle of changing out the FO lighting in the console for LED so need to get that wrapped up so I can get out and enjoy the sun.
Haha. Not needed. With the 8 inches of new snow we got yesterday, the front end is certainly low enough to scoop the snow. Although, it would be more interesting as a Zamboni, now that I think about it. Traction might be a problem, though...
73 Degrees in Tampa, FL. A little polish here and there and our Mondi is ready to be driven to the Festival of Speed in St. Petersburg, FL for the March 8th Event. Check it out on: Ferrari Modification | terrance.maloney | Chariotz
What is the purpose of the cover and where did you get it? That would look great at shows and meets. Cheers, Greg Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but I have to say that the raw wheel is so much nicer to look at. It came with the car and sits in the book looking like a floppy Barrett. Want it?
Finally had both my Mondials together in the garage ... The red one is a T of 92 and the blue one is a QV of 82. They'll be welcoming a GTB Turbo in a couple of days Image Unavailable, Please Login
And all of that work paid off; A 1st in the Ferrari Vintage Class. Thanks to my son for all of his help. Another fantastic Festival of Speed Event in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, FL. Image Unavailable, Please Login
She wants out! Finally got above 50 for the first time in weeks here in Maryland. What a miserable winter. Now we deal with mud and slush and sloppy roads for a while longer. Every day is another one closer to spring. Longer days are nice also. Image Unavailable, Please Login
